I mean, is it really that hienous that it forces another check when he tries to break the second grapple?

Just played a few friendly mangled metal games using eskarre. I haven't felt so much like I was cheating since I played the same games with pdenny. Love cryx for life.

I am definitely going to get some Cavalry (I really debated about getting them before the Halberdiers, but it just didn't make sense) but there's basically no way I am going to have them ready for Saturday. I'll roll with Alexia and the Risen, and hopefully have the cavalry sorted by the time we move up to 50pts.

Skarre2 breaks the game really hard in low model count games, that's for certain. Her feat is still good at higher point values, but not at the "gently caress you" level of mangled metal.

Hey Goons, I just latched onto a slow-grow league (playing Menoth) at my LGS and plan to pick up a Choir/Vassal of Menoth soon for 15pt forces. Does anyone have anything to recommend after that? I was leaning towards picking up either the new Exemplar Errants plus their Officer or Bastions, potentially I might get a Vanquisher too.

It can 2-handed throw medium or small bases, perform arm and weapon locks, escort squishy units or solos up the field, and has the armor of a heavy on a light chassis, all for 4pts. The issue that occurs is that Menoth has so many good jacks, that he often can't fit into a list, or his utility is overshadowed for pure beatface potential. If you like the look of him, give him a try. I guarantee he can protect and/or earn back his points every game if you let him.

Run it up with your Errants or TFG and have it lock up jacks so that you can use your units to butcher your main target. Hang it back so it can protect your caster from AOE and help block LOS. At most you will ever only need one focus on him if at all. You will really only need one but that one will prove its value.
