My yesterday was awesome because I rocked my Spanish oral exam. I didn't even study but I got a 100% and was the first in my class to do that (and I was one of the last to go). Today, I got a yummy CSA delivery waiting for me on my doorstep with strawberries, apples, etc. I signed up for more classes in the fall, the weather is amazing and the Avengers is out

I learned from my investment guy how I can pay off my car before starting school in August!  Also, there was a parade downtown. There were floats, and some of those floats had goats. Baby goats

My Incredibly Evil Plantar Warts From Hell should be gone in a month or two. At one point amputation of the infected toes was considered a real possibility, so I'll take 2 months of topical creams no problem.

Just talked to my friend and former manager and he's going to give me a good reference to work in the factory he works at. Its my dream job basically, and its looking pretty likely I'll be able to get in the door.

Yesterday my boss and I had a long meeting about the position I'm now in. We discussed the changes between what I had been doing, what I am doing now and what I could be doing. It wasn't a new conversation but it was a bit more candid. And at the end he made sure that I understood one very important thing, "you will succeed at this because you succeed at everything. You can't help it, it's who you are, you should take pride in that." I've honestly never had anyone say anything like that to me. Not even my family. It feels great to know that someone or, in this case, a lot of someones believe that I can do whatever I put my mind to.

Relaxing at a hostel in Portland, OR. Meeting new and interesting people. Finally got my ears pierced. Tonight im going to watch the Kentucky Derby and eat the strangest thing I can find at the sushi bar. Im actually happy right now I think!

My yesterday was awesome because I got to see my best friend be a red rider in the tour de cure I had been so worried about him finishing it successfully that it meant the world to me to see him cross the finish line. It was a pretty inspiring event. So afterward I went to the gym and ran on a treadmill (with no pain and no ankle brace)for 20 minutes, which is a new record for me. Also, my phone's been having problems so I finally stopped by the store and I'm having a new one sent to me. Oh, and after having some problems this weekend, I had a lot of friends surprise me and come forward to help. That felt pretty fantastic. I almost feel guilty how unexpected it was but it just confirms what I always thought - my friends are amazing. Annnnnddddd... I'm excited for today. This is going to be a good week. I have two finals, a softball game, mothers day weekend, seeing the Avengers, an appointment to get my lashes tinted and I feel like I have my momentum going for improving poo poo. My gym bag is packed and in my car and I have my GRE study books in my bag Awesome.

Just got a formal offer for a co-op internship at AMD next semester! People not in the know are like "congrats on getting an internship" but those that do know are like "HOLY gently caress AMD DUDE!!!!" I'm so excited! I'm not an idiot and someone else recognizes it!

Saturday: bottle fed 4 kittens that are around 3 weeks old. One had to have a bit of a bath and afterwards she snuggled in a fluffy, warm towel until she was dry. Really hard to have a bad day after that even if she did leave little kitten needle claw marks all over my neck because she thought that was where she should snuggle after the bath.

Pulled the plug on my involvement in a really vague patented product design. Vague in the sense that I couldn't get anything in writing about getting paid for my time or having some kind of stake in the product when it was selling. It started out as a sort of peripheral project through work (friend of the boss), then slowly morphed into "don't work on this during work hours, do it on your own time." Never got anywhere in meetings, each time 10 new designs would be thrown out and then I'd get hounded for why there wasn't a full working prototype yet. Handed over all the files today and said I didn't want to waste any more of my time. Sorry! t  t

I've been trolling and it makes me feel awesome. What I do is, I go to the Village Inn in the mornings and pick a table with an adorable elderly couple or a senior who looks like they could use a pick-me-up or sometimes I see a senior counting change when the bill comes, so I secretly go to the manager and pay their check and tip. On mornings when I don't want to get out of bed and I wake up grumpy, like today, I think "go to the Village Inn and pay for someone" and it motivates me. I've probably spent $200 in the past six weeks doing this and it's the best money I've ever spent. This morning the lady I paid for looked just like my late great-grandmother.

I finally figured out how to style my hair in a way that takes 5 minutes and looks good, without it being crunchy or frizzy. I almost forgot I have a forehead. Thanks, sea salt spray!

AltoidsAddict, you are a saint in a world that desperately needs them. Felt like I was overthinking my entire to-do list this week and felt poorly physically. Body felt a lot better this morning and then at lunch I stood by the ocean that's now yards away from my office and everything else fell into perspective. It's going to be a good downhill.

It was the ice cream social at work, I got my eye lashes tinted, I took my last final, I went running and I solved a problem at work that I've been trying to figure out for the past month or two Also, concert tomorrow night, friends Saturday and seeing my first MLB game Sunday. gently caress ya.

I got offered a job as a field specialist that pays really well right out of college and has the potential to set my dream career up for the rest of my life. That and I had a great date with a girl I've liked for a long time. My day owned pretty hard.

I went to the most amazing concert last night! I haven't been to one in WAY too long and this was just fantastic Also, I'm finally making friends in my new city. I'm going for coffee today with someone and hitting up the batting cages with someone else. I also got to sleep in today which was badly needed.

I found out my youngest brother was gay today, and while we were texting back and forth about it I had typed up a sentence that had about 4 smiley faces in it. I joked, "Why do girls use so many smilies?! Gosh!" And he texted back, "I don't know! I do too!  "It was very cute and had me smiling ALL day!
