I don't think Duke LaCrosse was a porn name. It was the name he suggested he would give to strippers instead of his real name.

Like a lot of people in this thread I haven't ever once listened to Loveline in the post-Adam era since 1) who listens to radio 2) I'm in Canada

What is it like now/since the early 2000s when Adam left? Do they just roll calls for 2 hours?

Stryker from KROQ joined the show after Adam left, but was eventually replaced by Mike Catherwood (also from KROQ). Mike fit in pretty well with the show's format, but recently it has gone under some bad changes.

Another cohost was added (Simone Bienne, a British "relationship therapist") who brings any humor between Mike and Drew to a grinding halt. Anderson doesn't speak or do drops; the calls are very generic; they do lame bits like "question of the night" or "Dr. Drew's sound-off"; and guests only stay for part of the show.

But wan't judge. We're literally incapable of judging.

You left out the part where they had a 6 months of awesome guest hosts before they kicked us in the balls and brought in Stryker.

November 2005-May 2006 is worth checking out.

Whose the more entertaining sub host combo?

Jimmy and Drew
or
Bruce and Adam

I like Bruce good naturedly taking Adam's abuse. Adam's mockery of his caffeine and church going ways, "the look of disappoint in the eyes" of the guest when they see its not Drew, the confused callers, Bruce asking Adam hang out because his wife is gone for the weekend...

Bruce and Adam for life. After I got through the No Guest shows, the next stop on my Loveline tour was to look for all the Dr. Spaz eps. It's just great cause Adam gets really punchy and animated when Bruce is around.

The Drew and Jimmy episodes are very entertaining as well, but their banter tends to fall into "Where's Adam and what's he doing this week" and "this is what happened at Adam's wedding" type stuff.

For those of you who don't listen to Carolla's podcast, he's started doing bonus episodes with just him and Dr. Drew and it's such a wave of nostalgia for the Loveline days. It's basically that segment of time during later-era Loveline when they had no guest and hadn't yet started taking calls, only stretched out to about an hour. The second one just went up over the weekend, they spend a lot of time talking about KROQ in the 80's and Loveline: http://www.adamcarolla.com/dr-drew-bonus-episode-2/

That bonus episode felt right. Adam has a poo poo load of money these days so why not give back to the show that essentially got him where he is today and buy Loveline, or at least Dr. Drew, out from the retards that own it now and restore it to its former glory. Or, maybe just start a segment on Adam's podcast called "ask a physician" (yes I know the original was "ask a surgeon") once a week and see where it goes from there. Pair it with a whacky engineer, maybe some guests here and there (but not too often) and give it a try.

I didn't realize I still had a subscription to the actual Loveline, took the wind out of my sails ever since Simone.
So I figured I'd download a few till my credit card expired this month, and noticed the official archive stretches back to 2006. Did it always go that far back, or am I just wishful thinking that they are working toward a complete archive?

What is good in the Solo-Drew post-Stryker, pre-Mike era? yeah yeah, everyone says Daniel Tosh, but who else stood out?
