I've heard it's so that they don't have to be always taking their helmets off and on to talk to people. Less intimidating and such. Don't know if that's true, though. I did see a couple of motorcycle cops in AZ wearing black full-face helmets with black visors...that was pretty cool, if a little fascist-looking.

I've seen quite a few bike cops with modular helmets, but most of those offer only a hair more protection than open-face helmets.

I can see he had to rapidly brake which is why the lady was going so fast, then when he looks in the mirror to see the car behind him when he gets hit.

My favorite part is the guy that drives directly into the fallen bike. That is a huge bike swarm, I never see groups that big. I'm surprised the rest of them didn't just continue to run them over. Edit: Squid Swarm
