I think that the fact that his eyes were open the entire time also caused them to be more hesitant.

Having his eyes open doesn't change the fact that he was completely unresponsive. If his eyes had been closed, that lot probably would have thought he had just pulled over for a little nap, and was a really deep sleeper.

Regardless of that, there is no reason why the staff at that incident shouldn't have just busted a window when he didn't respond the second time they tapped on the window. I figured the normal course of action would be "welp that car stopped and the driver is not getting out, there's probably something wrong with him, we should get him out" 35 euro worth of glass shouldn't even enter in to it.

If anything, 3+ decades of watching motorsport has taught me that track workers are, on average, really loving dumb. I've seen a driver put the fire out on another driver with his hands while the corner workers threw dirt on the car, nothing really surprises me any more.

Track workers are usually volunteers that are either racers themselves or are into the corner worker scene. Not to say that medical crews were informed or deployed anywhere near properly, but corner workers aren't all extrication and trauma specialist heroes, and tend to be prohibited from most actions that would put themselves in danger more than they already are. There was a big discussion on coern workers a few months back that someone quoted SCCA and NASA rulebooks.

Yeah, I should rephrase that. Track workers aren't all idiots. The majority are just fine at what they do and countless lives have been saved because of them. However, there's dozens of unfortunate examples I've seen over the years where a trained professional would have been preferable, and it's one of the last places on a race track where I feel significant improvements in safety can be achieved. Example That's not the incident I talked about above, but another one that's eerily similar. You can see a track worker watching others put out a fire on the driver, while he's holding an extinguisher. That guy should be ashamed of himself. Professional safety workers can be dumb, also. Another incident where a driver could have been killed because of bumbling safety officials. The fire house didn't even work, totally inexcusable at that level of motorsport.

Dragstrips I assume don't encourage you to continue accelerating after the first 1/4 mile. I just measured and the local one here only has 3/4 of asphalt total, while airport runways are about 1.3 miles. Not that they should be doing that on public roads, but rather they're trying to achieve something that isn't legally possible anywhere except maybe that Nardo ring?

These dudes are completely missing the point of owning a Gallardo and must literally have no penis. Not only have they voided out any help from Lamborghini techs but pretty much destroyed the car. If I wanted to show the world how much speed money and class I had I would just get a Diablo SVTT, keep it stock and grin like an evil bastard at every light. Is Russia populated entirely by people who don't understand the concept of yielding or turn lanes? Something like 2/3rds of those are people making left turns from the right lane without bothering to check for the car right next to them, or simply barreling into traffic from a blind cross street. I was wondering why I never saw any motorcycles but it's obvious that they were all killed off years ago.

I was wondering why I never saw any motorcycles but it's obvious that they were all killed off years ago. Before 91 only a few very lucky people got to drive. We had a 16 year old Lada that we bought with what money my grandfather left us... and even then we were lucky to have it. Since then the car population has exploded faster than they could even paint lanes on roads let alone make them bigger. So to answer your question yes there are a poo poo ton of people that don't have basic driving concepts embedded in them because they are the first one ever in their family to ever drive a car. Very scary place to drive indeed.

I know guys (and goons obviously) that go through cars on almost a quarterly basis. Get something, get bored, sell it, buy something else. I wish I could treat cars like a commodity but oh well. It reminds me a bit of the rally "gently caress it, I'm probably going to break it again" spot repairs they do.
