Great stuff this week.
Let's Bill and Ted back 40,000 years and blow those cavemen's minds.
John keeps yelling out "Boner Time!" at lunch what do you think that means?

I haven't listened in a while but their flow seemed just as good as earlier episodes. Don't know how they do it.

I loved the part about the "olfactometer" or whatever it was.

I totally lose it whenever Seth goes off on current-day Cheech & Chong, and I think this is the best one I've heard. Mime it! Neeeeee-Eeerrrrrrr

My favourite Seth rant is (I think) 137, going off it about lucid dreaming and not drinking and eating coffee cake with losers. Jonathan, I run so fast

"Mime the J" is such a great phrase.

"Y'know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna get the best weed in LA, and I'm gonna roll it up, and I'm gonna see Tom, gonna go to Madeo and see him come out of a $200 dinner, be like 'Yo T-Dogg,' and slip him a J and so he DIES that night."

I just started listening to this from some recommendations a couple weeks ago in the comedy podcast megathread and jesus this show is amazing. I can't even explain at all what I like about it yet, but I can easilly see myself marathoning all 330 episodes throughout the rest of the year already. I tried to do that with Joe Rogan last year (babby's first podcast) but I got real burnt out around 50 deep- I don't see that happening with UYD.

I've been jumping back and forth between their most recent episodes from this month and last, to their very first episodes in 2006 and there is absolutely zero, ZERO shift in quality in either direction, they're always solid good. How is that possible? Also, how old were they when they started the show? They sound so different in the 2006 episodes, especially Jonathan.

Another weird thing I'll add is after listening to 10 or so episodes I was imagining Seth to look like a weird bizzaro Steven Buscemi :shobon:

Jonathan's 34, so he was 28 when they started. I think Seth's now 38? Sounds right. That'd put him at 32. Jonathan's voice has definitely changed, but some of it might be the equipment changes over time, especially those silky smooth Pearlman mics.

It's killing me that I'm gonna be out of town that week, and knowing it'll come up on every episode from here to July is like a special brand of torture, but it'll be really fun hearing Johnathan's view of Haverhill and Boston. Maybe they'll even have Seth's mom go on with them during the live show. :allears:

They should make a full weekend of it and offer a UYD Haverhill walking tour. Take a bus out from Boston Saturday morning to visit the sleepy suburb where Seth's story began. See the apartment Marsha almost burned down with an errant boom nail, grab a slice at Papa Gino's, marvel at the convenience store where Seth used to play Galaga and swipe beers during the prime of his life.
