Question about Trials and Tribulation: So I didn't complete Land of Opportunity before starting this quest. This means that I can't turn Land of Opportunity in. My pawns keep telling me to get Jasper's family to present their opinion of Fournival at the trial, but they're all stuck in their Land of Opportunity dialogs. Did I screw myself out of getting the Golden Idol? I'm on Day 3 of gathering evidence, I grabbed all of the evidence in town as well as the witness from the Northern Guardpost, but the quest marker at the encampment has disappeared as well.

If he's this bad less than 2 weeks in to whittle down, how bad is he gonna be 6 months down the line for newer players? I like the idea of NEW boss fights, that can be cool, but the community idea just isn't working.

Regarding the Ur-Dragon, the community idea doesn't have to go but it really should have a point where the HP resets or caps out. Say the HP goes up by 10% per kill, and then caps out at 2x the base amount and resets weekly or something. Either that or just don't increase it at all.

Just let me fight the boss, game, don't have it run away and make all my work count for nothing (well, you get something for it dying but it's still bullshit). It's not even that the dragon is hard, it's just obnoxious. And getting progressively more so by leaps and bounds, you're right on that account. It doesn't help that my class of choice (sorcerer) is effectively useless against it. That may color my opinion somewhat. If they had to make a multiplayer gimmick fight they should have just went with this boss being legitimately multiplayer instead of this.

God dammit Did I just get royally hosed over? Decided to do sidequests after the whole ordeal with the worms in the everfall, noticed Mercedes or whatever wanted a escort and figured why not, accepted and realized I had no idea how to get there, come night time I'm back near the starting village and there she is wandering around fighting goblins a mile away from the circle, she doesn't say anything or... anything really. She then starts to follow me and I get jumped by bandits, she dives off a cliff and is now dead, and the quest failed. I'm seriously getting mad that the game just seemed to dick me over for no reason at all

Alright, so after the trial and completing both Land of Opportunity and Chasing Shadows, how do I start Symone's quest to get the gold idol? I tried sleeping a night off at the inn but Symone still just gives me her regular dialog about how her dad won't tell her anything and doesn't offer me a quest. Is there another prerequisite? Do I need to talk to her at a specific time of day? Edit: Apparently Fournival offers the quest but he doesn't have anything for me either.

Yeah, beat The Dragon. I like that he gouges your heart out at the start and then you get to repay the favour later on. Actually, Gouge is a pretty great skill. First time I broke it out was for the Dragon. That fight was great. Plus I beat it with a sword, so the reward made me laugh. Title Drop! Oh, and I didn't even recognise the person the Dragon kidnapped. Had to wait until getting back to Cassardis so I could talk to him and see what his name was. It was Ser Maximillian. Either the guy I lugged to the Shadow Fortress, or the Greatwall. But oh no, super-powerful goblins, Hellhounds wandering the countryside, Chimeras chilling on the beach, ahh! Now Beardface is bright red, with green tattoos, hair, and beard. All different shades. He looks even more hilarious now. This game is brilliant.

No. You won't be able to get in to the Duke's manse and you're missing out on probably the most hilariously weird part of the game, but it's a pain in the rear end that you can do in earnest in NG+.

There's one time I lucked out and walked in while it was near dead to get a lot of good stuff (daggers and sword, which are perfect since those are the two weapons I use, and a staff for my main mage pawn!) but I've been back a few times and can't seem to damage it even a little. As in, I'll dire gouge it and wail away at it and the health bar doesn't seem to move. I understand that it's a communal effort but I've been reading other forums and people will be like "oh, I took off a health bar" and I can't move it a pixel. Might be my level (60) but I don't think it should be that difficult.

They haven't announced any intention to do so, no. Some people are claiming that there's a system in place where, if a kill takes "too long" he becomes weaker the next generation instead of stronger. But I see no evidence that this is the case, nor am I sure where that rumor started. If it's true, it still needs balancing because this next gen does, in fact, seem to be tougher than the last which already took ridiculous amounts of time to kill. Interestingly enough, the PS3 version dragon is at an immensely higher generation. I don't know if this has to do with him being balanced differently or a higher crazy grinding Japanese playerbase or what.

Man, what a loving shame it is that the difficulty doesn't ramp up at all in NG+. Ran around the map for a bit and it's just like shooting fish in a barrel everywhere. There is so much gear I didn't get and so many quests I didn't do but I can't scrape up even the slightest motivation to do them when my character is a powerhouse at lvl 47. Even if they didn't want to put a lot of effort into NG+ it would have been nice if they at least buffed the enemies up. If NG+ involved replacing the old enemies with poo poo from the everfall and the ones on the path to Gran Soren after you beat the Dragon it would have been amazing. At the moment I am kind of kicking myself for even finishing the game. Would have rather done some missed quests for a while.
