Farmer Crack-rear end posted:and it's that kind of poo poo the bigwig producers would cling to and say "we're honoring gene's vision." yeah, okay, lemme tell you something about gene's ~vision~. gene roddenberry thought that the second star trek movie should have been a rehash-combination of TOS Tomorrow is Yesterday, City on the Edge of Forever, and The Savage Curtain, where the Enterprise travels back in time to 1963, Kirk meets JFK, tours him around the Enterprise and figuratively blows him, then it's revealed that ~JFK must die~ and the climax of the movie is literally Spock on the grassy knoll shooting JFK. I want to watch this movie.

DS9 best trek They gave that Ferengi kid more character development than any main character on any other trek show. And Garak owns.

genefacts: gene was basically incompetent after about 1988 or so and his lawyer ran star trek until paramount got rick berman involved. he started buying into what everyone said about him being a utopian visionary in the 1970s when he couldn't get away from star trek and gave all kinds of talks and pitches about star trek's utopian future. that's where all the TNG "everyone is perfect and loves each other" garbage came from gene banged every girl on the set of tos and probably a lot of them on the set of tng. legend has it that gene was once banging his secretary in his office when his wife knocked on the front door of his office and his mistress knocked on the window. legend also has it that one of the producers came across gene crying at his desk during tos. when he asked what was wrong, gene said "I CAN ONLY HAVE SEX THREE TIMES A DAY" and started sobbing. Gene Rod and Berries, 1970s posted:You cannot write in science fiction (...) without realizing that sexual equality is as basic as any other kind of equality. This does not mean that in future pictures I will ever stop using women as sex objects, as I will not, but to be fair we have always used and will be continuing to use males as sex objects, too. As a matter of fact, when I was younger and much more agile I've been used as a sex object myself; I think it's great fun.
