My god. This is amazing. You are now King of the Thread.

Crowned in a page snype.

Also I'm pretty sure it's only called herd immunity because 'community immunity' sounds really loving stupid.

Decisions :ohdear: Decisions

We've had to reschedule this model shoot twice (once I was too ill to move and once when he accidentally double-booked himself) and now he's gone dark.

I've called, texted and even messaged him on Facebook to double check that he's still game and heard no response. The prospect of lugging my gear 12-ish miles in the hope that it's still on isn't inspiring confidence.

I'm not mad.. just a bit :smith:

Are you being paid by the model for the shoot? If he's got some skin in the game, I could understand cutting him some slack, but I wouldn't even load the car without a confirmation.

Models are the worst. On the plus side, if you're shooting for something specific, you could probably find a replacement without too much trouble.

Herd immunity is seriously the biggest societal benefit to vaccination probably, and likely saves more lives than just individual vaccinations.

Dear hippies, your unvaccinated kid is a threat to your entire neighbourhood / town.

No not gold. Invest in film. I have it on good authority from a guy that knows a guy that once peed next to a guy that almost got on a plane with a guy that once bought a cheeseburger from a guy that lives near Washington DC. He says that obamacare is just the first step. Next they are gonna make us all shoot DSLRs. By the year 2014 UN soldiers will be going door to door confiscating our our completely legal cameras, just because some of them have motordrives. Well, I tell you what, when that time comes the man that is sitting on a stock pile of film will be a great help in the coming revolution. Free people will not sit down and let tyrants ruin our ability to make lovely photos of flowers and other stupid poo poo like that! P.S. I know you live in the UK but considering your country basically gives our country handjobs under the table at diplomatic dinners you should be worried about secret muslim, liberal, socialism, buzzword people too.

I used to use UFraw on my ubuntu comp. I am stuck to one picture at a time and there is no preview.

I debow'd (is gifting something called tebowing now?) my old laptop back and tried lightroom.

My god I am in love and I have only done basic exposure adjustments/white balance correction.

I want a macbook so bad. Going mobile is fantastic.

Also photography 101 classes are bullshit. I do nothing and learn nothing. The first few weeks was about aperture, iso, shitter speed etc. And I got yelled at for using fill flash in backlit situations.

I've got a neighbor who calls herself an antivaxer and I'm a vaccinationist, as if that is some sort of pejorative term. Oh sweet jesus no! Not protecting my children from infectious disease! I'm such a monster!

Anyway, models, amirite?

When I was doing that tattoo shoot so long ago I scheduled 30 different models and I got maybe 4 to show up.

Now, suddenly, I have a model contacting me to get some portfolio work done and out of the blue she asks what kind of camera and "lends" I have. Then asks if they are expensive and if I'll be bringing it all with me to the shoot.

Guys, am I going to get mugged? :ohdear:

be fair; "d" is rather close to "s" on a QWERTY. She might not be a total moron.

And yeah, you're going to get mugged. That's what people with tattoos do (or so I've been led to believe by the media)

WTF, that mentality is spreading. 7 local photographers just formed a "collective" and their first blog post was directed at all the existing photographers saying that everyone is behind 20 years in technique and they are all the best photographers this area has ever seen. They pissed off a bunch of people and then changed the blog post. It still uses petty language to describe what they do as radically different somehow. I'm fairly certain that they are all dependent spouses and aren't working anywhere near full time.
