I read a pretty interesting article on this kind of stuff the other day, it's kinda provocative but the guy makes some good points. Is America killing dance music?

I dunno.. Sasha is pretty hit or miss. But then again.. If he's good that night, he's unbeatable. I've seen him once when he was good and myyyy gooood. edit: involver3 needs to hit soon

Got on the list for Pullen, and its 21+ instead of 18+ at Sasha so it looks like thats it for me. I'll also agree that Sasha is hit or miss. I saw him with Diggers in Miami at the Ultra afterparty a few years ago and it was incredible, then saw the two of them at Red Rocks and it was the most boring set ever, I had to leave because I felt so bad about hyping it to my friends who all spent $60 a ticket. I'll report back about Pullen!

Agreed, Babicz is incredible. He did a guest mix on Transitions years ago and I still dig it out occasionally. And then there's this of course, but youtube can't really do it justice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_2fFwbfkSY

AKP posted:what ended up happening? He got through eventually around when the club was closing, but the promoters arranged for him to play at the weird after-hours club up the street that tends to attract glowstick-wielding ravers and got everyone waiting for him in for free. Not as nice a venue as where he was supposed to be but I managed to stick around for his set for two and a half hours so it worked out for the most part.

Saw scuba last night, great set. Some kids in the back were looking awfully confused about their dubstep hero laying down a (mostly) techno set but most of the crowd was up for it. If you're in one of the cities he's playing during his little North American tour, make sure to go see him!
