Most ones I've seen here seem to do 'referrals', which I'm guessing means you need to be referred there by a vet? Maybe I should bring the idea up with my current vet and see what she says? Thanks for the advice btw, this is the first time I've had to deal with anything like this and it's all a little overwhelming.

Am I in the right here or am I taking it too seriously?  My  grandmother on my mother's side (airquotes are an entirely different E/N story, woman is a bitch and I refuse to acknowledge her as my grandmother) several months ago left a shi-tzu puppy with us to look after for a month, I believe I posted pictures of the little dustmop towards the tail end of the last thread. Well, that one month turned into two, then three, then who the hell knows when. We've raised the puppy for the majority of her little life, Clinton loves her to pieces, the cats... tolerate her as much as cats tolerate other four-legged creatures, and my niece similarly adores her. Yet my 'grandmother' still insists on at some point pulling her out of this home and... replacing her with another puppy for our trouble! Cause dogs are like interchangeable parts, right  ?Am I in the right being hellaciously annoyed with her and my mother for this, or am I being childish? My boyfriend made me laugh earlier because he took Corbin for a walk and when he came in he started baby-talking him and was saying "Aww you super-aggressive pit bull am I gonna have to alpha roll you. Anyone have problem with a flatulent cat? I remember reading plenty about dog farts but not really about cats... Long story short Marvin has taken to climbing into my lap and just letting loose. It usually happens when I'm giving him a darn good chin scratch and he's super relaxed... and then it happens. He just looks so happy doing it too. The biggest problem is that they are all of the "silent and deadly" persuasion and with the way he sits on my lap it's usually right in my face. Animals are gross, man.

gently caress me. Now the other cat is showing signs of the illness. I'm nearly convinced nova picked up something at the vet's office over a week ago. Now she's given it to the other cat. Whatever this is, it's going to suck to treat. Vet tomorrow morning for the first cat who doesn't want to eat. edit: anyone have a good list of contagious diseases that causes diarrhea and lack of appetite in cats? Incubation time appears to be slightly less than 2 days unless the first cat was shedding whatever this was before symptoms presented.
