We had an argument. It ended with him saying "I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree," which is what people usually say when they're losing an argument. Also some stupid stuff about how he would "fight oppression" whether it be from the right or left. I wanted to talk about how the Nazis used the glorification of old heroes/ancestors in order to bring about the nationalistic feeling necessary for fascism to succeed, and draw parallels to how neoconservatives use the Founders, but it never got to that point.

Only if you count the donations to their church. Subtract that and they are one of the most stingy

Chart showing health care consumption has been on the decrease. So remember the argument that "we can't have universal health care, people need to pay out of pocket so they reduce consumption and change lifestyles to keep prices down"? Yeah, completely at odds with reality. Expansion of health care decreases consumption
