Realistically though I have a bunch of randoms (literally!) that can take 1B until the expansion draft, so I'm probably looking for a blockbuster deal on an Left or Right outfielder. A pure power slugger who will never set foot on the field is an option, but much less preferred. Equally I can hock Speaker and not Hack, both are great centrefielders and I can always find a DH later. Trade Bait Update So I rummaged around in my feeder teams in anticipation of having a sudden Jimmiee Foxx shaped hole at first base and found a bunch of good stuff, and while none of it is a First Baseman of Legend, Hall of Famer Pitcher Lon Warneke and hall of Fame Right Fielder Harry Hooper are on the block. Lon is probably to young to be anything other than a speculative bet but Harry Hooper was a real major leaguer at this point. Other stuff (More outfielders, pitching) in this post: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3499603&pagenumber=1#post406227341 I still want your bullpen arms. Just to keep this rolling, I preapprove all of our initial slider choices and stadium dimensions. Aesthetic details such as logo/banner I'd like to see first. (Yes, the important things when running a team.) I suggest we appoint one of the partners to act as GM for day-to-day needs like roster moves in light of injuries. I'd also empower this person to explore trades as opportunity and need arise, with final approval still subject to vote by a proper quorum of partners. For the sake of needless drama, any single partner can object to any move and effectively countermand the GM. I nominate Viscount Slim for this if he's willing, and if he's not I've got free time and I check up on the thread daily anyway. --- Cthulu Dreams: Maddux is vintage 2004. For corner outfielders, I've got lots of pieces: hall of famers Gwynn and Rice, Sammy Sosa and Moises Alou (who has a ridiculous .440 OBP for me this season), and maybe, maybe if you're willing to give up something interesting, Barry Bonds. No relief pitching I'm afraid.

Ty Cobb is one of the best hitters of all time. You're going to have to blow me away. If I'm being optimistic, I'm looking for a modern pitcher to replace a deadballer, a comparative top CF and a cherry on top, so. Cobb can go for that Doug Fister, Mickey Mantle, and... Roger Maris.

Feller, at his 348-strikeout, 151 ERA+ peak. And Ortiz at HIS peak, to replace some of the hitting your giving up. The Antarctic Unspecifieds offer: 1965 Harmon Killebrew 1918 Rogers Hornsby 1918 Bill Sherdel Killebrew, a defensive liability with a really good bat, but in an injury plagued down year. I want him mainly to keep him from my division rivals. Hornsby, who's only 21 and can't really play shortstop defensively despite his loving amazing bat, is the key piece for me -- I've been trying to upgrade 2nd base forever and a day. And Sherdel, who you aren't using, just to keep my pitching staff from getting shorthanded from giving up Feller.

This post serves as a public record of the enacted bylaws of the Rated R Superstars. TRADING BYLAW #1: Trading Approval Thresholds PASSED AUGUST 7, 2012 WITH APPROVAL FROM THE GOOG, SENERIO, CTHULHU DREAMS AND PUNGRY Any owner may propose a trade of the Superstars’ assets to any other team(s). These trades require a majority vote of the Superstars' ownership to be approved. If one of the Superstars’ owners is also the owner or part-owner of another team involved in the trade, that owner may not vote on the trade; approval of this trade would then require a majority of all non-conflicted ownership holders. If there is a tie among the non-conflicted owners, the trade would not be approved. Revisions to this rule, including elimination of this rule, must be supported with just cause and be approved by 80% of the Superstars' ownership. OWNERSHIP BYLAW #1: Distribution of Shares PASSED AUGUST 7, 2012 WITH APPROVAL FROM THE GOOG, SENERIO, CTHULHU DREAMS AND PUNGRY Ownership of the Superstars will be divided into 100 shares, with each share representing an equal stake in the ownership of the team. Each of the five initial owners (TKBomber7285, Pungry, Cthulhu Dreams, The Goog, Senerio) is issued 20 shares. Owners may trade, sell, auction, donate, surrender, and in any other way divest themselves of their shares in any way they see fit. Shares may not be destroyed except in the methods specified by this bylaw, or by order of the commissioner of the Super League. Creation of new shares must be approved by 100% of the Superstars’ ownership, except as laid out in Ownership Bylaw #2. Allocation of unowned shares must be approved by 80% of the Superstars’ ownership. If any share of the team is unowned for more than one calendar week, the share(s) will be destroyed. Revisions to this rule, including elimination of this rule, must be supported with just cause and be approved by 80% of the Superstars’ ownership. OWNERSHIP BYLAW #2: The 49% Rule PASSED AUGUST 13, 2012 WITH APPROVAL FROM THE GOOG, SENERIO, CTHULHU DREAMS, PUNGRY AND TKBOMBER7285 No person, team, organization or other entity (“person”) may, directly or indirectly, control more than 49% of the ownership shares of the Rated R Superstars. If a person comes into control of more than 49% of the Superstars' ownership, new shares will be automatically created and allocated to the other Superstars owners, in proportion to their possession of ownership shares, so that the person who had acquired more than 49% ownership sees their ownership share reduced to 49%. Revisions to this rule, including elimination of this rule, must be supported with just cause and be approved by 80% of the Superstars' ownership. Ownership Bylaw #1 is hereby amended. The first sentence of the second paragraph now reads “Creation of new shares must be approved by 100% of the Superstars’ ownership, except as laid out in Ownership Bylaw #2.” BROOKLYN BRUISER BYLAW: The Idiot Rule PASSED AUGUST 7, 2012 WITH APPROVAL FROM THE GOOG, CTHULHU DREAMS AND PUNGRY The Superstars will not, under any circumstances, challenge the New York Macho Men without approval by 100% of the Superstars’ ownership.
