Game owns, I'm signed up on the day 1 tourney as StanlyCoobs. Can't decide if I wanna stick with Chie or Labrys, I feel like Labrys can put out mad damage but I gotta work on her some more.

My Amazon pre-order wasn't going to ship so I decided to pick it up at a local EB instead. I got really lucky and managed to snag the bonus CD because they had extras. I hope I don't regret buying the extra colours and glasses. I love persona so I just want to give it any extra support that I can.

Bought this game today because it looked pretty fun. It turns out it's pretty cool. I really like Mitsuru but I can't seem to do a charge motions very well or fast enough to link in her combos. Is it a lot easier to do on a stick rather than a pad? Because this poo poo is killing me. I'll probably enter a really bad Elizabeth into the tournament instead.

The 360 version came today! Just doing challenges and practice right now while waiting for the netcode to be fixed. It's a really minor thing, but it bugs me how the music doesn't loop properly in fights. It also bugs me how I'll Face Myself isn't a selectable battle theme!

Hey anyone doing the challenge mode? I'm trying Yosuke 23 and it requires a launch and then 7 strong attacks. I get to 4 and then he stops. In the demo it seems he does a little launch on the 5th hit but I can't seem to get the timing right. Am I supposed to just jam on it or is there a pause? Also I am in the terrible camp.

I love how some of the Xbox360 matches will play pretty smooth and then the next round will be completely unplayable. Oh well, game is so much fun. I'll just play the other modes until the patch, come on Atlus/Arc!

I was going to pass this up because I've never seriously played a fighter before, but then I saw some extra copies in my local game store and, well, more Persona? I couldn't resist. Sounds like a lot of people feel the same; hopefully we 360 players can get some online play going together once it's fixed.

If you really want to know the story, Persona 4 The Animation is up in full on Hulu. So does anyone have any advice on how to break a compulsive button mashing habit? I just got done with a quick run through Challenge mode, and once it gets into the segments where actual combos are involved, I just seem to reflexively press the same button multiple times in a row when it's not called for in the combo. Like for example, part of the combo would be: Jump + A Crouch + B Or something like that. I'll jump, hit A, then immediately hit A again without thinking before landing and crouching to hit B. Anyone have any advice for breaking myself out of that?

I don't know what sort of mental snag I am hitting, but I keep thinking the game layout is code:instead of what it actually is, and it keeps tripping me up while practicing combos. I might wind up switching over to that eventually though I did try briefly and it is annoying that if you change your buttons, the challenge mode combos do not reflect the new buttons in the listing.

Just slow down and be deliberate. I had this problem on one of Chie's challenge combos, the one where you combo B rampage into A > A > B > 2B. You just have to think about what you're doing and really try to only press the button when you need to. This'll help you learn how to do things like delay/cancel the moves in the auto combo, too.
