So after all of that "will being foreign/from a country with gay marriage/from an increasingly atheistic nation lead to underperforming?" ruckus, hints of an impending meltdown from the column intending to track the correlation of gay marriage with failure:quote:Too early to tell. Listed below are the country's medal totals for the last Olympics prior to implementing same sex-marriage (which can be seen as a fair proxy for their totals this year), along with actual totals for this year so far. Denmark, Canada, and Sweden have already overperformed, while the Netherlands and Spain are clearly underperforming. For the others, it's too early to tell. Stop that overperforming! We do not underexceed expectations. We do not exceed expectations. We do exactly as we did before. Back in the box! [e: I did not even know "overperforming" was a word before.]

Theres normally at least some logical consistency to Andy's madness, yes I know it all comes down to what he does and doesn't like, but it's not always this arbitrary. Usually it's based on decisions he's already made (or other conservative pundits) no matter how spurious, I.e. "Britain is atheist, therefore football (sorry, soccer) is liberal!" Yea, when do girls ever break out in boxing matches? I mean when I was a young boy we had boxing matches all the time, someone would call someone a queermo or make fun of their mom, and then after a few rounds of carefully regulated punches a ref would step in and give the kids a score and they'd shake hands respectfully at the judgement.

Normally YEC's at least admit that dogs come from the grey wolf, the different rooms for each breed is new to me. YEC's had to give up to some extent, hence why they came up with "baraminology", i.e. bullshit that claims that the bible says kinds of animal were made (baramins) and each baramin could change, but not become a new kind of animal. So all birds can become different birds, but they have to stay birds. They'll argue how far this can stretch amongst themselves, for obvious reasons, they can't go too far! So some will be saying "well actually birds have multiple kinds" (i.e. a finch can't become an eagle), while others will be saying "all birds can become all birds". This is one of the main things that made them stop calling it creationism and start calling it creation science, because well, they were theorising. Obviously as always they have no idea what theory means in a scientific context, and use theory in the sense of an idea they just pulled out of their arse.

That was actually quite sad. Dude was linking us to studies that disproved his assertions, then claiming that it was obvious that these people who did this work and drew these conclusions were entirely wrong about what their work meant, then saying everyone who disagreed was stupid. Straight past pride into hubris. Also seemed to think that definitions were solid things. Also admitted that aliens were a plausible intelligent designer and he argued for them because there was just as much indication it was them as it was a god, but did not seem to draw any conclusions from this.
