Ahhh, thanks. That's a good resource but it doesn't have everything (ie. the Space Quest Collection is missing) and it still only has single files and not large files containing everything so I would still need a browser extension to download everything I guess? EDIT: It's also missing Bacter's Colonel's Bequest and others Vinlaen fucked around with this message at 01:49 on Aug 10, 2012 |

Vinlaen posted:Can anybody give me some recommendations on some video (not screenshot), really informative LP's? (I've searched on lparchive.org and it gave me a list but I'm not sure the quality of them) It's been going nearly a year, so you may have seen it already, but I just thought I'd recommend Silver Falcon's Okami VLP. Normally, I don't like VLP's, but I've been watching it lately, and it's really loving good. Falcon knows her poo poo.

I had actually been avoiding that thread because I thought it was another Dwarf Fortress LP.

If you like bad western RPGs there's always Jewmander's attempt at Ultima IX http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3365571 It's kinda like the Daikatana of rpgs, so expect some bugs and Jewmander having to use noclip (or build a pillar of potions) to get to items 90ft in the sky that won't fall down.

As I loved the game. Since then I've started on the early megaman games, starting with 3. I love the slide too I don't know if that guy wanted more informative specific LPs, but ProtonJon's lp of Superman64 tells you exactly why the game sucks, including interviews with the makers of the game. Sadly it looks like it will never be finished, but you can find it on his youtube channel if you don't have archives. Obligatory Rchimp + Sinatropod play Resident Evil 5 suggestion: http://lparchive.org/Resident-Evil-5/ BUT ALSO, MoominBiscuit and SuperGraffiti are 2 funny guys who play terrible PS2 games and also Ratchet and Clank. Here's the current thread but you can also find a few of their PS2 videos on their youtube and a few more on their blip. Everything comes highly recommended.

For example: - Phiggle learning Hydrorah http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3476124&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=4#post404713569 - Megaman Romhacks such as: -- Rockman Exhaust http://bd.baldurk.org/lp/93 -- Rockman Minimum http://bd.baldurk.org/lp/100 -- Video 4 and later of Wily's Dream Space http://bd.baldurk.org/lp/48 -- Minus Infinity http://www.viddler.com/v/3737492c (kinda need to search through the channel for this) Then, everything with Vicas and his group: http://lparchive.org/search/Vicas#results http://lparchive.org/Donkey-Kong-64/ This includes the Mega Man Race videos with him, (sidenote: Quite a few of these are fun.) and Chocolate Secret. Other possibilities, depending on your taste: Pork LIft and wateyad's stuff, this incredibly silly Disaster thread, this incredibly silly Hitman thread, this incredibly silly Two Worlds thread, Thornbrain's stuff. And then you of course have the obvious things like anything with slowbeef and Diabetus, or with pokecapn's crew. Admiral H. Curtiss fucked around with this message at 00:58 on Aug 15, 2012 |

I was a fan of Faceguy's Super Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario LPs. Seems like the new thread never got archived. I don't know if that's just backlog or not. Thread's on the verge of going into the archives, but it's still around. First Paper Mario LP is up on the archives. Going on right now, I'd highly recommend Some Strange Flea's Star Fox 64 run.

Mico posted:Considering Baldurk only just managed to archive his own LP of L4D2, I'm gonna say it's absolutely due to backlog. FYI threads get archived roughly in order of when they're requested not when they're finished, I don't automatically hunt for threads that finish and grab them. So unless someone mails in, usually the author, it's not going to be archived.

But the bonus videos in the Fragile thread are very happy.

The beauty of Chocolate Secret was that initially neither UZ nor I knew Colon V wanted to go through the whole game. I'm not entirely sure he knew it, for that matter. It kind of started as a "well sure I don't have anything else to do tonight" and turned into "oh god he's almost done I guess I might as well see this through to the end." (not that I didn't have fun doing it )

Featuring the funniest video on the internet in which Rarr_Im_A_Dinosaur is the worst best person. Context is unnecessary and waiting for the entire thing to be archived before you watch it will save you from the fact that Rchimp loses access to his arms for months at a time and cannot upload videos.
