Its not on craiglist but a customer for my IT business recently offered me a "project" car. Its a 1986 Lancia Delta HF Turbo. Its has an original mileage of 30,000 (UK here so Miles not Km). The engine runs fine as does the gearbox. The only issue it that it has been sat for 3 years outside so the bosy needs the work hence the project bit. Its for sale at £300... am I retarded biting her hand off? Its almost my dream ride (want the integrale obviously!)

I'm rather conflicted on this one, it could either be pretty spiff or just cobbled together awful. http://easttexas.craigslist.org/cto/3215500478.html edit: Leaning towards the latter with the "ebay parts" comment.

Well considering they put an L32 in there I'm definitely going with the second choice.

That seems pretty cheap for what I'd consider to be a cool car. Of course I don't think I've ever seen one for sale in the US, and I don't know poo poo about them. At the very least it would be something to keep in the garage to dick around with from time to time.

It'll have worse built quality than you can imagine, and will probably be rusted to bits in critical places. Seriously, Lancia used to out-Italy the rest of the Italian auto industry by a huge margin when it comes to build quality and reliability. thegasman2000, buy it!

Its the 4WD version with a 2.0 Petrol with turbo. £300 is pretty much the best ever price ever I just wonder how much it needs to get through an MOT.

Maker Of Shoes posted:Less posting. More buying. Ok well I am back! (not from outer space) and I do not yet own a Lancia Wel the bad bits: Its not a 2 litre its a 1.6. It is however a 1987 Delta HFi which means it has the nicer injection system not carbs. Its body has a couple of places where it will need work. THe passenger side rear door is rused at the bottom and there is a hole under the read windscreen where the glass was removed and it pulled the body with it. The good Bits: The interior is in as new condition. Seriously dated but as new! Its only has 25K on the clock with one owner and the full (absolutely Full) service history. He wants the car to go to someone who will restore it as he rejected £1500 for the engine 2 months ago! He is mulling over the sale and will let me know. Just need a garage to do the body in now. Didnt start it but told it will start as the battery was removed to avoid corrosion 2 years ago. This is a real gem and I hope I make the cut to buy it! Oh and RHD.

I don't have the money for this but I kind of wish I did. $8k for a car with 500k miles on the clock would seem outrageous, but there's that dude with like four million miles on one who has the Guinness world record so I'm guessing these things last a while.

In most states it's not a color COMBINATION that's the problem, it's that there are restricted colors. Unless you are emergency service of the correct type blue and red are almost universally out. White is often not allowed at all, and green is almost never allowed when moving but is acceptable on an emergency vehicle when stationary (typically denotes the command post). Amber is typically unregulated, but pretty much says "look at me, I'm a tow truck/snow plow!"
