He's pretty populist in his current views. He shits on Romney for being homophobic and not paying taxes. It's not like when he was all up Bush's rear end in 2000.

Actually the tapes team let Jason pick which show they were going to air today and he picked that one because he spent half of it making GBS threads all over Scott DePace.

I actually kind of enjoyed that segment. Jason has an annoying voice but DePace is a giant douche. The patent lawyer calling in to say his ridiculous golf caddy thing was already patented was great.

Jason just bothers me, he sounds so gross and self righteous and just everything about him grates on me. He likes to stir up poo poo so much, but he isn't really good at it and most of the time it comes off as petty attacks from a dude who is jealous of others way too much.

There is just a nervousness about him I can't pin down, he loves being on the air and wants people to like him too much or something. I dunno, he is probably a good guy and all and he makes a lot of good points, but he just bothers me.

Jon Hein is a weirdo but you kind of have to get to know him. I don't think most people would get a bad vibe off of him if they saw him on that fast food show with no other context.

Jason on the other hand is immediately repulsive - from his appearance to his mannerisms to his voice. His only redeeming quality is when he pushes Scott DePace's buttons, but that's not exactly mainstream TV gold.

It's funny because I've been going back and listening to some of the great satellite years bits to pass the time, and just this morning I was on the staff revelations when they first came over. Jason's revelation was that he had become too addicted to porn and no longer enjoyed banging his girlfriend.

Holy poo poo how did he manage to brainwash that girl into sticking by him?

The Nick and Artie show seems to be slowly turning into a more mainstream/sanitized version of its former self. Musical guests, those idiot Twins complaining to management again about Artie, an irrelevant supermodel last night. Bruce Vilanch the highlight of Friday's show? I understand that DTV is doing it for the TV show, but they are alienating their core audience, and the show won't make it without them. It's all about $$$, obviously, but at what cost? Thread, your thoughts?

The worst thing about the show is they have to pander to callers and not call them stupid when they do dumb poo poo like sing poems and ramble on about whatever. I hate radio shows that take random calls and don't just goof on the idiots who wait 4 hours to call into a radio show to only mumble something.

I'd rather hear the callers than two songs from a horrible band, then an interview segement besides. Some of the callers have been radio gold.

Well yeah, but then again I tend to skip the sports talk, on a sports talk show so I'm probably not the main demographic here. I like watching the living train wreck that is Artie.

Some of the sports guys are pretty funny however, at least when they roll with stuff and don't stick to the sports facts.

I think they said they had guy friends who were fans of the show, initially.

And he was definitely verbally abusing them, that's just a matter of fact. Being abusive towards strippers and porn stars who come on as guests is not the same as being abusive towards the female interns, which is what the twins are. Artie on his own does not have the same finesse of the Stern show studio.

They also mentioned in their first phone call about wearing sexy outfits and investigating Tebow's virginity. That doesn't sound like two people who are uptight, which is what the are now that they have the job. Twin con-artists. I never said that Artie wasn't verbally abusing them. The fact that they are now complaining to management is the bullshit part. They presented themselves as something they're not, and now they can't take the jokes.

I'm torn over Artie's abuse of the twins. It always goes back and forth between funny and insanely mean. The way he uses the Maxim girls to torture them every Friday now is incredible, it's so transparent. I died when he had them compete in a "I took a dump so big" contest. The twins would say something, "Horrible. Completely unfunny. Insanely bad." Maxim girls say something equally inane, uproarious laughter for 10 seconds.

I love how they really have started getting a bit cynical themselves, they finally strike back occasionally and it's great. Then nick or artie say something wildly misogynistic to shut them down and move to a different topic.

On a different note I still can't believe how bad at radio Nick is. He constantly gripes over computer issues the audience doesn't give a poo poo about while other people are talking and inserts his horrible opinions at moments that derail the flow of the show.

The fact that they won't admit that they are using Nick and Artie themselves and the show to further their careers has to annoy the hell out of N&A, and I'm sure there's some resentment. If they weren't fans of Artie's or Nick's to begin with, why else would they want to work there except to try to get into show business again? The Amazing Race didn't do much for them career-wise, they needed another angle.

Wait, how is this a big deal? Isn't this on the same scale of plugging in lieu of pay? It's a scummy thing to do, but not any scummier than either Nick or Artie using Stern's show to pimp their performances. Why does this need to be 'admitted?' I thought it was a given. I'm having trouble thinking of anybody on a radio show that doesn't use it to further their career in some way.

I just heard that one show with the drinking country guy or whatever and yeah, holy poo poo, that was horrible. Then they let him sing another lovely song. God drat. I'd rather hear Artie sing Elton John songs to the twins, that was funny and they let him do the whole dang song.

Things like that are what make me appreciate the Stern show over regular jack-off radio show.

Someone could send in a full orchestrated epic about Robin's tits and half the time they cut it off early.

Yet some stoner calls into N&A and reads off his lovely song parody with no music that he came up with will high and they will thank him for it and give him all the time he wants.

I don't see how the two are comparable. Nick and Artie aren't asking for jobs on the Stern show, or getting upset about the content of the show and complaining to management. If they can't take the heat, they should get out of the kitchen, so to speak. They conned their way onto the show, and I bet Nick and Artie are regretting hiring them.
