Darkseid is a ruthless conqueror of worlds, an awe inspiring living god to his people, one of the most ruthless and terrible beings in the galaxy a threat to freedom and happiness as we know it. Other times you come home after a hard day and he's just there in your apartment. Chilling, because he knows, he knows you can't do poo poo about him being there. He'll break into your liquor cabinet because he does not respect you.  He'll psychoanalyze your inability to make life changes.  You will be unable to escape his unwanted relationship advice.  Sometimes he just wants pizza, it's not like you're gonna eat the whole thing, just relax man.  Sometimes he's pleasant enough company, but then he starts being vaguely anti Semetic and it makes you uncomfortable.  Wait a sec, did he just spray that gnome with mustard in that last one, what the hell Darkseid? However when the roles are reversed suddenly all this poo poo isn't funny anymore is it Darkseid?  I don't know what issues any of these panels or covers are from.

Not only is Santa canon, but he joined the Justice League. Source: JLA #60. I re-read this comic every year at Christmas time, because it is every bit as awesome as it looks.
