Because if not, I have no reason not to grab this for Wii U. If you have a Darksiders 1 save you get War's shoulder armor and a scythe that's based on the design of War's sword, but that's it. It's not even good armor.

Yeah Metal Gear is a popular enough series to receive ports, but all of them began life with a single platform in mind. Revengeance is actually the first in the franchise to be multi-platform from the ground up. I think a numbered sequel in the series probably will be PS3/PS4 only for a year or so before moving on to the other systems.

MGS fans are kinda like Nintendo fans: You can shove poo poo on a stick and write MGS in it and fans would still find a way to love it despite it still being poo poo on a stick.

MGS4 was awesome. Yeah the cutscenes are stupid. Its one of those things you deal with being a fan of the series. v:)v 4 did going to different locations right. It had a great spy level where you in a trench coat in city stalking a target. The weapons were better making fighting an actual viable option on not insane difficulties. It was a very fun game.Louisgod posted:MGS fans are kinda like Nintendo fans: You can shove poo poo on a stick and write MGS in it and fans would still find a way to love it despite it still being poo poo on a stick. This sounds apt based on my post, but I disagree. I hated Peacewalker, I played it on the collected ps3 port though so maybe it worked better on psp? But the mission format and having to level everything up really turned me off. Bombadilillo fucked around with this message at 03:26 on Sep 28, 2012 |

There were some things that I liked about the new one and some things that I enjoyed about the old one. The old one had all the cool mission objectives that were more than "find 5 crates" or "make it to the bunker" but the new one has all the kind of cool Bond like stuff from the movies like the takedowns and the stealth and they changed the game up enough to where it was pretty enjoyable.

Is there a stream anywhere of this direct? Anyone tweeting translations?

MGS 1, 2, and 3 were full of stuff about the meaning of being a patriot or soldier, the costs of war, and was pretty quick to condemn the actions and double-dealings of governments. Metal Gear 1 and 2 were also pretty anti-war.

MGS4 opens with in-universe media clips that depict a world where war and military technology have saturated popular culture. PMCs are game show topics and have perfume-style ads. Throughout the game you also have the loudspeaker announcements/advertisements from the PMCs, with friendly jingles and female voices touting their "services" to the war-torn regions. So yeah, "warporn" is a touch inaccurate.

The distinction they make between PMCs and the military is only that the PMCs are the ultimate extension of that, because it isn't dressed up as patriotism or idealism.

So Nintendo direct was about Mario 2 dlc. That could be important to WiiU. It's Nintendo's first ever dlc, what's in it, how they are selling it and how much they are selling it for could be a preview of the entire model they use for dlc on Nintendo games.

Nintendo's first paid DLC was for Fire Emblem Awakening, which came out in Japan last April.

Someone missed Fire Emblem: Awakening. They've been doing DLC for that for months now, mostly scenarios and maps for a couple bucks that unlock past lords as characters, add a new class or two, and some challenge maps, as well as giving out old characters for free by Spotpass. They released the numbers a few days ago, it was ludicrously successful. E:f;b

Being that the games will be both 360/PS3 titles and won't be coming out for months, I'd say there's a pretty strong chance the Wii U will be seeing the games if it has a strong install base. Judging by the fact that the console is 2 months away and it's already sold out everywhere, that may be the case. Also, gently caress you activision. I was on the fence about getting Blops 2 just to play online with a friend of mine, and I said to myself "No, the CoD franchise can gently caress off. It is evil and just the same game over and over." And then you release this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH_9GzaUW40
