Billy has never appeared on the show since he left in the 90s right? That's crazy that Howard doesn't ever have him in, especially considering the caliber of guests he's had the last year or two (a lot of D-listers).

Futurama has a nice following, and he was Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd for like ten years, which are arguably the biggest cartoon characters ever. Plus I'm sure old fans would love to hear him again.

In my (unscientific) opinion, Howard is still bitter at Billy for leaving for more money, and would never have him on unless Billy fell on serious hard times, so that Howard could rub his nose in it.

Howard probably feels he "made Billy" and when Billy wanted fair money Howard was angry at him and did nothing to help him, then when he left and got better money, Howard threw him aside.

Like if somebody offered JD a higher paying job and JD took it, Howard would no longer "love him".

It was kind of gross, JD was talking about his shelf and his bed on the floor and not having money to buy anything and the two millionaires on the show just mocked him and told him to go "buy stuff to make it better you dummy". Then once they realized he couldn't afford it, just just shrugged their shoulders and didn't realize they could fart a small little dust ball of money at him and completely furnish his apartment for him.

You can't pay for everyone, but jesus, if you tease and taunt and abuse poor JD like that, throw him a bone every now and then, more so if you run around telling everyone how much you love him and worry about him.

Was it that much? I thought he was just throwing around "spare" money. Besides, money isn't that fluid, poor people have HDTVs and iPhones. He is a human like the rest of us, he wants things (in this case, whatever disturbing thing he relates to human contact with porn stars) and he can't balance his wants with his needs, so he skips out on basic things like a shelf or dresser for his socks, so he can keep spanking it to internet cam whores.

Such is life, but to have a man who paid $80,000 to install a door or whatever mock you on the air and throw fake sympathy at you should be worth a new desk from IKEA at least.

The same millionaire (Robin) who won't buy a phone for full price because it's $600 - she'd rather pay $1800 over the next two years because they raised her rates on her new contract. But she got the phone for $300!!

At least Howard laughed at her on this one.

oh my god, what the hell - Sour Shoes is more entertaining than shuli, benji, richard and sal, all put together. gently caress me, throw them all out (okay, maybe except richard and sal - maybe just throw sal) and have him on doing Gary forever.

But seriously, am I the only one finding Shuli as funny as a hysterectomy? What the heck. I wasn't around for either Jackie or Artie years, but listening back to those shows, they really brouhgt a lot to the table. Shuli does absolutely nothing for me. If it were my decision, I'd just sit a different wack packer in every week, have them bounce off of and drive Howard crazy.

When Shuli was just a frequent caller, he was pretty good. He'd call in every once in a while with a game that goofed on Baba Booey or something. He's not great in larger doses.

Shuli has crossed over to angry, bitter, depressing comic territory. He missed the big boat and is skipping along on a life raft, opening for midgets and limo drivers. He's pretty funny, but that mug of his means he will never be on TV, he just doesn't have a look, even Artie or Louie CK have a look, Shuli is hard to spot out, nothing stands out on him, so he won't get anywhere else besides playing ring master to the whack pack.

He has some good stand up too, maybe he could just be a writer or something.

I think he's pretty great in the chair, and I don't think Howard and Fred (since Robin is never coming back) could handle Sour Shoes everyday.

I didn't find Shuli to be that funny in the chair, but Christ it has been ten times better having somebody extra in the studio. Even if he has a rotation of people from the show just come and sit in every week would improve the show ten fold. Like maybe next week have Richard or something. Like in yesterday's show when Howard started talking about his iPhone, it ended up only being like 3-4 minutes of iPhone talk before he got into a bit and moved on with the show. When it's just him and Robin, that iPhone rant would have been 20-30 minutes of filler.

Totally, I noticed that situation myself. Just the addition of ANY other voice chiming in to say comments and poke fun at poo poo helps freshen things up a ton.

Howard should let Richard go back to making funny songs, he's so much better at it than all the terrible "Robin's titties" songs from Psyke and Little Mikey. 1 Richard Song is worth 400 Tradio Calls.

Always gamble against Artie Lange. He is the worst gambler on the planet and he knows nothing about football.

Man the new music segments on N&A are lame. It's a pretty transparent example of management ruining a show.

As for Shuli in the Artie chair, I never thought he was particularly funny and he hasn't changed my mind so far either. I mean, does anyone really have a favorite Shuli moment from the show? I feel like he's on the show because he's a caller who became friends with the staff. It's a step in the right direction to fill that chair, at least.

Well they are playing the Jets who no longer have Revis, so the odds are certainly stacked against them. Also, as Artie himself once said, "There are times when a girl won't gently caress you, but the Jets will always gently caress you."

drat, wish it was for car radios too. Still gonna sign up though, because I can listen at work.

edit: I'm listening to Howard rag on Gary and his tech show. Seriously, he's upset because Gary uses the word "interface"? Although I guess there's no amount of dumbing down you could do to get Howard and Robin to understand anything to do with technology.

And now he's straight up telling callers to cancel their subscription if they dare to complain. What a complete rear end in a top hat.

Obviously the music is being forced on them, especially after hearing Artie's rant about Los Lonely Boys the night before they performed. Guitar Center sponsors the music guests, so it's all about the money.

You hit the nail on the head.
I have honestly not listened to a show in months. I decided to grab the 9/25 show just to hear Sour Shoes, with every intention of skipping the rest of the show.
However, I actually made it through the whole show and I honestly feel it was very much due to Shuli being in the studio.
He is not very funny, doesnt have great stories and is a kiss rear end, but he is another voice and it makes the show 1000x more listenable.
