PM or email me at timothy_volkswagen at yahoo for my address for this weekend. Just don't puke in my house, be really goony or make a lot of noise when driving in town or on my street. I think what we have planned is a giant turbo/small engine activity of which we have many small engines to torture.

As I enjoyed the destruction show last time, I'd grab some powdered aluminum / iron oxide if I had the slightest idea where to get it locally. I don't think Amazon would get it here in time. I didn't even think of it until reading Ace's post. I can, however bring beer! I'll be coming up from Long Island, which (I think) makes me the southernmost AI'er in attendance. Anyone have beer requests? I plan on getting at least one 12er of Yuengling already, plus maybe some other stuff. Is Gritty's Maine beer? I liked the case I got last time

I still have a few pounds of aluminum from last time. Try a pottery or craft supply place for red iron oxide, it will be in the ceramics section if they have it. Last time I paid something like 30 bucks for 20 pounds but I doubt that kind of deal exists outside of ebay. I will likely be there around 2-3 as I am spending the morning hauling demolition debris up to the dump... my town decided that free dump day was going to be the 29th. No idea when anyone else is showing up.

But I can pick some Gritty's up for you in trade for yuengling, and then trade the yuengling to dan for letting me use spring compressors/torch when my suspension finally get replaced.

Hey, don't mean to interupt again, but just a reminder that I am helping host a car show this weekend at the University of New Haven on Saturday. http://www.unhasme.com/3rd-annual-asme-car-show-fall/ What the flyer doesn't say is that I will be running a photo stand there where I will have two pin up girls to take photos with you and your car.

Finding aluminum and iron oxide is no big deal, finding it in pure enough, fine enough powder for a good reaction isn't quite as easy. I'm totally down to attack a crusty tdi if that ends up happening. Should I bring my sawzall? E: also gonna bring buffalo wing sauce and maybe stuff to fry

I'd love to be in attendance, but I'll be steaming from hull mass to southwest harbour Maine. Knowing my luck with Maine transits, it'll be northeast thirty to forty, and I'll spend six to eight hours puking... Yay seasickness! Enjoy the festivities, it sucks, I just got a bunch of (36 actually) expired flares. I was going to have my auto enginuity scanner too, in case anyone needed it (GM factory support added).

I'm still pissed that I suck at life and double booked this weekend. Dad got me brewfest tickets that we've been going to every year since I turned 21, so I can't really bail on that. Sorry guys. Someone spit booze on fire and fall asleep in the back of a jeep in my memory.

Dude, as I keep explaining to you, my car is more Rust Bullet (knock off POR-15), fiberglass, bondo, and rubberized undercoating than sheet metal now. I was half-hoping that I'd get rear ended so that I could be done with it and give you the drive train, but it never happened. My turbo is working again though, which is pretty sweet. I mean it was always working, but it was venting to atmosphere, and then the wastegate actuator was all out of whack from me trying to adjust it. I wish it was less smokey though; I feel bad for the people behind me when I really lay the torque down. If I make it this weekend we can do an redneck intake cleaning and try to get more air in there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oet4qWeZuYA Quadruple Edit: Oh yeah, and metallic tape over one of the holes that I haven't gotten to yet. WELP: I think we can say NEAI 2.0 was a success. I'll leave others to fill in play by play and add more photos but here's what I have: First there was a turbo and there were big plans... The leafblower motor: OH GOD IT'S SPILLING GAS EVERYWHERE. Then there was another leaf blower that was used to blow on a fire. Then there was yet another leaf blower motor that we tried to burn out with starter fluid. So it was thrown into a fire.
