It really is a great line. As an added bonus, you can often find complete, boxed vehicles for next to nothing on eBay. You can also sometimes find Exo-Squad stuff that was reused as part of a line of William Shatner's Tek War toys.

A lot of the old Robotech toys got re-released under the Exo-Squad line (there was originally a plan to incorporate them into the show as well). I was pretty stoked when I walked into a KB Toys back in the mid 90s and found a who mess of Invid and Destroids.
I think part of what blows me away the most is that a lot of the E-frames apparently have "working" multi-part hydraulics that flex and move when you mess with the limbs, that kind of poo poo really impresses me on modern Hot Toys/Neca stuff (most notably, their Terminator endoskeletons), seeing it incorporated into some 90s missile-firing powered-armor mech toys should have blown by 9-year-old mind. Not to mention all the reviews for the "to sell toys" marketing shill tie-in cartoon for Exo Squad seem to indicate that it was actually better written than it had any right to be, but I've never seen an episode so I dunno.

Like I cannot believe this stuff flew under my radar as a kid. I should have been all over this poo poo.

I don't know what's funnier:

- That Tek War got its own line of toys.
- That Tek War exists.
- That Exo-Squad toys were recycled into Tek War.
- The Simpsons' episode where the school cutbacks leave the kids with a pathetic library, where one of their few books is Tek War. "The kids have to learn about Tek War some time!"

Anyone have an extra bubble she ra they don't need? I got a Swiftwind for my daughter for Christmas and I have the regular She Ra, but I understand she doesn't ride well...So I'd like to get the Bubble She Ra to go with Swifty. I guess it can be loose, because she will just open it anyway, and I don't want to pay the 35 bucks it is going for on ebay right now. (can also trade, got lots of stuff I'd be willing to part with though no trade list made up...I do have a MIB classics Evil Lynn and I still have that big lot of Palisades Muppet toys I never got around to listing last Christmas that I posted here last year.)

Hey lads, I need help identifying two of my old action figures:

I figured the first guy was from MOTU, but he's not. His foot says 1987 Hasbro/Takara 1987/ Macau. The other guy is 1992 LGT (Galoob). I searched for the years and the manufacturers and found jack squat. Anyone recognize these ones? By the way the first guy apparently is the front half of a large shell that fits around another figure, must be some sort of "transforming" character.

Better than that, it's an actual Transformer. Or part of one, rather.

You know, I was thinking for a second it could have been a Transformer when I was looking at 1987 Hasbro stuff but it made no sense to me. Looking at the pic in the link you provided was like a slap in the face, I haven't seen the actual robot part of that figure in too many years to name. Thanks!

Don't feel too badServo, I had that problem in reverse with a transformer that I had throughout most of my childhood but could not identify for the life of me because I had probably lost his Pretender Shell on day one.
Now that other toy, lemme tell ya, that's interesting one. So interesting, that I'm gonna go Googly the poo poo out of that thing. I'll come back if I can find out anything.
A HALF HOUR LATER
Man, that is one motherfucking elusive toy. Galoob didn't make that much poo poo that wasn't Micro Machines, so you'd figure it would be pretty easy to find.
The only thing I can even think it might be is a Z-Bot, but their zbots weren't that super articulate like that dude seems to be.

I thought for sure it was a Z-Bot as well, but apparently this guy belongs to some obscure toyline that time wants us to forget. Maybe someone will pop in later who knows exactly where it came from.

Don't suppose anyone knows any North American-based online stores that might still have some of Medicom's Metal Gear Solid figures still in stock? The line came out about three years ago, but they're pretty scant online. At least at non-exorbitant prices.

I found a couple of these just looking around urban-collector.com for cheap prices. At least ones posed in the exact same poses from your image anyway.

Out of Stock. :(

Thanks for looking though, that site seems pretty nice. The few sites that do have these figures in stock are so shady looking I wouldn't trust them.

I thought I didn't qualify. I was considered, what was it... volatile, self-centered, and I don't play well with others.
Tried my hand at making myself a GRIFTER mask for this Halloween and I think it came out okay.

I took the "movie" route (despite him not appearing in any movies) and decided to grit it up a little by having in-exact eye-markings as I feel the character just uses the design on his mask for effect and not much for aesthetic reasons. I just sort of sprayed the "general" design loosely onto the mask and while it came out a little off what I had wanted, it still was in the ballpark of the effect I had wanted to get.

The last stage would be putting in something to cover my eyes, and it's not something I've found yet. Either a white net cloth or something else I don't know.

Yes its a removable part with electric plugs and the "wah wah" thing and straps. No strings though. The drum set really amazed me though. The figures take up a LOT more space than I would want though. Things are about 8.5 inches tall but I only found that out AFTER I bought the entire set.. not saying that I regret the purchase necessarily but I might have went for a smaller sized set if I had known.
