Yeah put it this way, if you spent five years forcing yourself to communicate in one foreign language exclusively and found yourself being as articulate as a five year old then you would be a disastrous student. Everyone at 20 has years of a language already which is a huge advantage, and most polyglots learn new languages late on.

I can't comprehend the fans that throw flares. The guy that punched Kirkland is a violent thug, but he's just a run of the mill drunken scumbag. Launching a flare at someone is pretty much psychopathy. They're trying to seriously injure or even kill someone.

Our stores at work stock flares and every Christmas some apprentices nab some expired flares to let off on NYE. Every year our construction manager/head kicker tells everyone not to do this but somebody always shows up with no eyebrows or something. My personal favourite was a guy who grabbed a proper smoke flare and let it off on his balcony without checking wind direction or anything. Cue fire engines being called to a high rise with an entire floor powder coated in orange. Don't fool around with marine flares, no good will come of it.
