Yeah, I know where the Kammen and Swan version is from, I'm trying to find the original. I tried checking The Civil War credits and soundtrack too, no luck there either. e: Think I found it. Heya everyone, having trouble finding a rap song with the chorus of "long hair, make up on" Rather deep voice, with the beat stopping at the comma, and starting up again for the next part. It's not Mr. Bigg or at least I don't think so. Any help is appreciated. Edit: Found it. ASAP Rocky - Fuckin Problem. Ciorilon fucked around with this message at 05:38 on Nov 1, 2012 |

drat, you may be right. It's the music for quite a few random TV shows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojQUEr0-H08 Would still love to get an ID on it though, it was the theme song of a children's show I watched when I was a kid.

That's Pachelbel's Canon in D. That particular arrangement? Stock music. Couldn't find it on APM or Audio Network, so probably from another library, or I didn't look hard enough.

Trying to find this one song I liked but lost last month. I mostly just remember the music video. Probably 90's or early 2000's. Male singer-songwriter, looked like he was in his late 20's, glasses, brown hair, not super handsome. I remember looking him up on wikipedia and he'd only made like one album, but I think I had heard of his name before so it was probably pretty popular. In the video he is in a dark room looking out a window. The track was folky and low-key, sort of sad and had a line that had something to do with children and the future. The melody was picked on a guitar I think. e. it was While You Were Sleeping by Elvis Perkins. MIDWIFE CRISIS fucked around with this message at 20:34 on Nov 6, 2012 |

It's electronic music, and a girl sings "IIIIII, (na-na-nana-na-na) babyyyy". Sounds more or less like this: http://vocaroo.com/i/s0RhgsYauFov Sorry for giving so little, it's all I can remember. Mr Lonely makes sense given the title of the song, maybe that's what I'm remembering it from. Though I'm pretty sure I remember that specific part being played on guitar in a similar fashion (not in the Mr Crowley way though).

There was this song I heard while flipping through the channels and accidentally catching "SyFY" for one of their originals (which of course I forgot the title of. ) It was sort of post-shoegaze Curve style music. Like Garbage with a male singer in falsetto. I'd normally dismiss this, but a lyric caught my attention. (Not exactly this, considering Google isn't helping, but it's too weird for me not to be pretty close.) "Where can I find a butt like this? I'm trying to find an rear end that I want to have."

What's the song that starts at 12:15 in this video: http://vimeo.com/53457437? (NOTE: I have to click play and wait five seconds or so before I click that space on the timeline in Chrome/Firefox to get it to load at that time. Sorry -- Vimeo doesn't allow direct linking to the time since it's progressive download rather than streaming.) The video is a critic talking about Culture Club, but the song sounds like it's from a shoegaze band that has the Kevin Shields guitar sound down pretty well. Pretty sure I'd recognize it if were an MBV song. Maybe The Horrors or some post rock band? alcoholiday fucked around with this message at 02:49 on Nov 14, 2012 |

I heard this song on the radio the other day, and unfortunately I can't remember a single drat lyric from it (otherwise I'd have googled it). Things I know about it: It had either a girl singer or a guy with a girly voice. It sounded almost like something M83, Passion Pit, or Grouplove would do. The chorus was very repetitive, with maybe the same sentence being said over and over. Towards the end of the song the singer repeated the sentence a good 7-10 times. I scoured the radio station's playlists and have been frustratingly unsuccessful so far. If anyone can help me with what little info I've been able to give out I'd be super appreciative.

I was hoping you fine folk could help me out with providing me with the singer who might have been behind a particular song. I don't have a film clip, or can even remember how the song goes but here is what I remember the film clip looking like. I think the year would have been early to mid 2000's as the quality was pretty good. It was a fat black woman, in a classy (I think ballroom) dress. I remember the colour being yellow. She looks like she is on a date, and she is eating lots of food and dancing. She stood out in my mind as she looked like she had a lot of attitude and sassy. It was fairly poppy, and the video clip was on an MTV equivalent in Australia. I really doubt anyone will be able to work out what this is. But it's been burning at the back of my head for years.

Heard a song by Queen on XM the other day, dont remember the name. It was pretty fast paced and heavy, sounded almost like a metal song. I was pretty surprised when I saw it was Queen. It also had almost no lyrics except for the very end Freddy sang maybe one line.

I must have had a brain stroke or something, because for the life of me I cannot find this song, nor can I find anything about it. I've searched around on Grooveshark and found similar bands / songs, and I've even emailed the radio station that played it, but to no avail. The listing of songs they gave me doesn't have the song I heard. I'll probably hear it sooner or later on the radio again, but who knows when! Thanks for the suggestions you gave me though guys.

While I was traveling through Winnipeg for business, I stopped in this steakhouse called Chop where they were playing all of this seemingly top 40 music--Foster the People, Maroon 5, etc. And then there was one song that came on... female singer, downtempo electronic beat--sounded like it could've been done by Cut Copy or Junior Boys. Couldn't really recognize the voice and thought it might've been someone new, or very well Canadian for that matter that I wouldn't have had the chance to hear before. Wish I could've made out some of the lyrics because then I would've done the obvious Google search. Any help is greatly appreciated!
