Yeah we're seriously considering Germany for NYE now haha Cool tracks, it's all about the dark hypnotic vibes... Love that distorted metal bass/kick that runs through them both.

Soundcloud has started doing that for me as well, they've got some new copyright detection system in place that immediately deletes unofficial remixes & mixes. Probably better off sticking with Mixcloud instead. Few of my friends have been to them before and said they're amazing, definitely go to see them if you've got the chance. I need to make some Techno related NYE plans as well.

Do you prefer it to SC for mixes? Chuck us your mix/soundcloud links. Always looking out for more good music.

You can tag individual tracks when they're mixed in, plus when one mix ends a random one of a similar genre plays afterwards. Best bit about this playlist is your mixes will end up being heard by lots of different people. I deleted all my mixes about a week ago since they were so old / not good. Going to record some newer stuff when uni ends and I've got time, as soon as I get a decent mix recorded I'll post it here!

Mixcloud is way better imo. Anyways here's my picks this week i guess i'd recommend them but i just kinda pick on whats popular on the chemrecs charts and it turns out well: http://i.imgur.com/kmxu8.png Forgot bicep though! drat. meant to get his last one, heard good things. uk house/techno and uh.. bass all in one loving family <3 and r&s from Belgium but cmon close enough. Buy records guys. It's fun and it could grow as a niche instead of die considering how many are selling out these days. And if you buy share with me so i don't spent all of the money on records.. please

Also not only that but when you buy your records opposed to buying mp3s you're far more cautious as to what you're going to drop $xx on for a vinyl which then equates to a far greater collection. Quality over quantity.

Yeah I love that idea, and didn't know about your mixes getting more playtime due to the random play... might set this up at the weekend then. Not a fan of the Next Soundcloud either, I was in the private beta and gave tons of feedback to help improve it, some of which was implemented but other minor things havent (like no longer being able to view comments before playing a track) so I've switched back to classic which just works nicely. Cool, look forward to hearing them

Listened to Oscar Mulero - Black Propaganda and Cari Lekebusch - You are a Hybrid Too few nights ago. Really enjoyable minimal techno for Mulero. The Lekebusch has a nice dark tinge to it that I liked too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtVcQdlUCEk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlSwWViqCe0

I've been listening to Blawans Boiler Room mix on repeat for about 8 hours now. Anyone got anything else I should I give a spin? E: I lost my old HDD and I lost all my of my collection, about $300 of bought tracks from beatport + countless, absolutely countless hours of bootlegs. Does anyone have advice on getting it back from beatport? I had to email their tech support once before when I hosed up an album DL but will they be understanding for so many tracks? Also where can I go to get great mixes? AKP has been super helpful with this before but I wanna know more places than just the standards. Like techno, if that changes what anyone is going to recommend. E2: I love your mix bill carey! Longtiem fucked around with this message at 10:37 on Dec 11, 2012 |

Cheers for the positive feedback folks, glad you're enjoying it. I went out to Berlin last May and it completely transformed music for me. There's nothing like being entranced by a fat bassline and single piece of percussion in a warehouse at 10am on a Monday morning. Parties there never seem to end, once the night ravers have gone to work a whole new bunch show up. If you love techno or music in general get out and experience it. It's unlike anything or anywhere else, an insane music culture.

The thing about this music is that once you "get" it, once you've raved your face off, nothing really comes close. Especially with the current state of "EDM" shite.
