I definitely got the vibe that it was an audition tape he cut back in the day, but not an actual "This guy did this at a random casting call!" A practical demonstration of "This is how intense I can be." Hopefully they'll discuss it on next week's show.

When I saw them last summer in Boston, he definitely had longer hair like in the FoD video. So basically what I'm saying is that maybe Seth has found a new venture. I think the video's a joke too but when I think "sweaty, coked up, alcoholic Seth" that's pretty much what I picture. Also he's clearly much younger in that video than today.

Seth gets a really great angry Masshole vibe going in that rant. Not quite the same as the wise-but-crazy UYD style rage. Reminds me of people's Boston accent flaring up when they get angry. So yeah, Seth is a great actor channeling all sorts of thing there.

Yeah, just attribute it to Seth being a pretty decent actor at least when it comes to snapping on dudes and not an actual crazy rant. I doubt they would even have a decade old audition tape let alone be able to post it to Funny or Die in 2012.

Guys, why does it matter when it was recorded? It is clearly a skit regardless of when it was recorded, it is too hilarious for genuine anger. He was probably just as interested in entertaining then as he is now and may have just had the tape lying around in his house like his old ads. Edit: Yeah, he also looks fresh as gently caress.
