Have they ever switched to a different slot even for a single show? Is it a BBC thing, or a standing tall and flat out refusing (respectably) thing?

So basically they are missing Australia and Antarctica for continents they haven't trekked across. Australia has their own Top Gear, but that hasn't kept them out of the US. They could go to New Zealand and drive cars worthy of hobbits, I guess.

I think they have filmed in Australia multiple times, but they haven't done a proper trek across it. In the X6 review he made a budget joke in that he spent all of the episode's money traveling all over to check minor details, but they actually shot those bits while filming something else. Or he was there for other projects, I might remember this wrong. But I do remember they kept continuity on the clothes, but not the exact car. Antarctica, now that's a challenge.

Clarkson did Australia as part of Motorworld, so it wouldn't be too hard for them to come up with a plan.

They're going to be in Sydney in March, so maybe something for the second series this year? They can try and drive a P76 across the Simpson desert or something.

I kind of liked aussie Top Gear. The guys were actually really good at building stuff so the challenges were more impressive than UK Top Gear. When they made electric cars in one challenge, one of them made a legitimately good vehicle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lF06vLILwH0
