Hm youve made some good points re; accessibility and the politics of art. but, look at the real world implications: a jeff koons balloon animal was destroyed. I saw this thing at Mass MoCA where a gymnasium sized room had machines that dropped paper from the ceiling, and it floated slowly to the floor, eventually filling the room completely. It was cool because kids were running around trying to catch the paper before it hit the ground. If they got there fast enough, they could touch the art.
