I've been driving for 6 years and I've had two people follow me to my house, 1 person force his way into my house, 2 people pull guns on me at red lights, and one guy throw an ice scraper thing and some cans at my car on the freeway. Oh and it's always rich white dudes with beards who make over $100k a year go figure. I feel safer driving a brand new car in Hilltop than I do driving in rush hour Seattle -> Eastside traffic. I also don't drive aggressively or slowly or really do anything that I would think would provoke such behavior. holy loving poo poo What did they claim you did to provoke this when the police arrived to lock their asses up?

In both cases I recall, they were the ones driving like a dick and something simple like a horn honk sets them off. The most memorable was a car full of men of unspecified ethnicity hanging out the windows screaming in god knows what language trying to run the car off the road. That was after they didn't observe correct roundabout rules. Funnily enough the next intersection up on a completely different date I encountered a car going around a roundabout in the wrong direction. gently caress Melbourne sometimes. My first week in the states and I went around 3 different roundabouts the wrong way. Luckily it was at night and nobody was there, which is also why I probably didn't think of it.

Nah, we just install roundabouts mostly as a way to break up long, straight roads in suburbs to slow the 17-year-old rich white kids with mommy's Civic from street racing. I've been driving around for about 3 weeks in Phoenix and I've encountered maybe two actual functional roundabouts. Quite a change from Idaho, though, where I encountered exactly zero roundabouts at all in 10 years/300,000 miles of driving.

Oddly enough I've come across more roundabouts in Indiana than anywhere else I've driven. Even then that's only been in two cities.

In the past year: Sideswiped 3 times, all hit and run (once while parked). One had video evidence from a dashcam, cops still refused to even come out to take a report... We won't discuss the flat spots on my tires. I really should just stop nailing the brakes when people pull out in front of me/try to sideswipe me/whatever, I should just bump up their insurance rates; I've had whiplash before, it's not the end of the world.. One of the jeep tour guides told me the traffic backups used to be horrendous before they were put in. None of the intersections had a dedicated left turn lane, so anybody turning left would back the traffic up behind waiting for a chance to go. I drive a tour bus out there every summer, and let me tell you, those roundabouts get old after the 5th one you go though. Gorgeous drive indeed! The section north of Sedona is probably the crookedest road I've ever taken my bus on..

Pretty much exactly like that, except going up a hill, in the dark, and a Mercedes GLK doing 4-wheel drifts around the obstacles, including some fat girl who decided to play in the snow on the freeway while cars were still going by

I noticed last night that my dash is illuminated even when the lights are "off". My car has DRLs so technically I always have some form of light on, but my car is charcoal grey and invisible. My cars in order that I have owned them. Red 67 bug White 68 bug poo poo brown 85 Accord (it was also a piece of poo poo so this is fitting) Red 95 Jetta Titanium Grey 04.5 GLI Charcoal Grey 11 Golf The golf was the only car I ever bought new, and didn't really have a choice in it's color either due to it just being an awesome deal that I couldn't walk away from. My next car will be red if I can swing it. There are a couple red A4 wagons near where I work, and my god, if they offered them with a 6 speed and the TDI I'd trade my golf in tomorrow.
