Man, I have so many songs to catch up with in this thread that it's actually rather overwhelming. But for now, let me drop this gem here.

This song is just brimming with positivity, and the last minute and forty is just pure infectious energy! :sun:

So this LA band Foxygen has been getting a bit big lately (where have I heard that before?) and they're getting a lot of airplay on things I listen to like Sirius XMU and such. Their current single Shuggie really struck me because it has a real Belle & Sebastian ring to it.

I have had the new Alice in Chains song on repeat for several days now. I love how heavy the new stuff is, and that they aren't trying to completely recreate their Layne era sound. They have a lot of new elements now under William DuVall, but are still Alice in Chains at their core. Black Gives Way to Blue was wonderful and I'm more than pumped for its follow-up.

Oh goddamn, the new Tegan & Sara single "Now I'm All Messed Up" is awesome.

Too new for YouTube, here it is on stereogum: http://stereogum.com/1237151/tegan-sara-now-im-all-messed-up-stereogum-premiere/mp3s/

It's an amazing example of really mournful sugary classic pop. Pat Benatar-ish in the best way. I don't even like Tegan & Sara very much but dang, kudos to those girls.
