I hit 50 a while ago with my Axton and my gear isn't quite good enough to kill the Warrior. Since I haven't beaten the game in PT2 yet, guys like Flynt are still level 30ish and I can't get level 50 quest rewards. Is Bunker my best bet? I've been doing Saturn and the two chests but that's getting annoying.
If you just want to get on with playthrough 2.5 and don't mind being cheap, just hop up on the ledge before the blue shield wall and shoot the warrior from there. You can't get hurt, just don't shoot any rakks since they can knock you in the lava if you aren't careful. This is what I just did on my hilariously underpowered 50 melee build zer0, it still took a while and most of my ammo. There are youtubes showing the exact ledge.

There's another way to cheese him without using that ledge. If you just follow the lava to your left after you hit the main "island", it will take you way off to the side down a path to an ammo spawn and this stone gazebo thing. You'll be far away but you can still attack his chest/rib weak spots and he will focus his attacks on the main island leaving you safe for the most part (with the exception of crystalisks but those really shouldn't be a problem). Every once in a while he'll toss a big rock your way but if you just hide under that stone gazebo you should be straight.

Yeah that stone gazebo is pretty safe, the fight'll be long as its hard to hit his chest from out there and you have to constantly kill a crsytalisk that keeps spawning in front of you. The upside is you don't have to worry about the rakks, lava and 95% of the warriors attacks.

As far as farming goes, the bunker definitely seems to be more generous than the warrior in dropping purple items and good blues (class mods and relics). Neither particularly care much about dropping legendaries or heads/skins. The bunker is also much easier to kill (bee+DPUH he's dead in like 30 seconds). And farm as you don't have to leave the game and the good loot rarely drops in to the lava or under his loving head. I've gotten 1 legendary from the warrior ( a level 30 flakker), and 2 from the bunker (level 28 bitch, level 50 critical conference call). E-techs are apparently super loving rare but the bunker does drop his fair share.

What's your build look like?
Just accept that as part of TVHM you are supposed to become a glass cannon so your focus should be on damage first, and mitigation or regeneration second.

I really recommend you put points into guerrilla until you get rocket pods and maxed out able then put the rest of your points in gunpowder.
I use the following build ::
http://www.bl2skills.com/commando.html#50050150005005515014111000000000

And switch between the legendary commando mod, and a blue grenadier +6 stead/+5 impact. With a torgue pistol (especially the dpuh but the pocket rocket or a slapper also are beasts) and the sheriff badge (that level 26 you got in pt1 is still pretty drat good) you will be absolute monster and rip up the warrior's health in no time. The turret's main goal is to keep your battlefront skill running (+30% gun damage + 30% grenade damage means 60% more torgue weapon damage and that is AWESOME) and grab argo of trash mobs. It can't really do much against the warrior.

I don't know if you've gotten the Lady Fist in playthrough 2, but if you have, that gun alone is enough to kill The Warrior in a timely fashion. Use an SMG or assault rifle to open up a chest plate on The Warrior, then use the Lady Fist to drill the core. You'll do more than enough damage to where he won't get more than one attack off if you're quick on the switch. You don't have to worry about scaling, either, since the Lady Fist drops at level 50.

You'll burn through the majority of 800 pistol rounds, but you will be able to kill him from 100% to zero with that amount of ammo as long as you use a different weapon to pop the armor plates.

Personally I think Salvador is one of the harder characters to solo as, FYI. Gaige has the robot, Axton has the turret, and Zero has the hologram, to draw aggro. Maya can at least phaselock then run away.

That said - there's no wrong way to build, but I personally think avoiding the Brawn tree is a good idea. Badass ranks can go wherever you like, depends on your playstyle... I think gun damage, grenade damage, reload speed, and maybe elemental chance were my big ones.

When fighting Badass Constructors etc I always try to hide somewhere with roof cover. In the spaceport open bit in Opportunity I always hide in the shipping containers before I have a Bee shield and a decent corrosive weapon to take them down fast. If you are above the Constructor (i.e. 2nd Constructor in Hero's Pass) you can hide behind a wall and hopefully find a gap to shoot through that missiles won't get through instead. There are a fair few occasions in this game where I find that you just have to cheese it somewhat if you're not using the Evil Smasher glitch. Fake difficulty!

On the mission in Opportunity where you have to escort a Constructor of your own to destroy Jack statues, there's an enemy Constructor that just comes down right in the open and rains hot loving death upon both of you, and there isn't cover anywhere remotely nearby, so if you try to shoot it from anywhere it will gently caress you up, either by its laser beam or the ten billion rockets and missiles it will shoot at you (and WILL hit you). I almost took it down by gunzerking with two rocket launchers and pumping rockets directly into its eye, but I couldn't finish it before it pumped a missile salvo into my face, and for some reason FFYL would only last like 2 seconds so I didnt't have any time to finish it off then either.

Also didn't help that there was a Badass Loader or two that dropped right next to the respawn point which was also like 20 feet from the constructor, so if they didn't destroy me immediately there were already missiles coming down to meet me by the time the respawn animation was done. Maybe it was just some kind of perfect storm fluke or something but god drat was it infuriating.

For early on Axton put at least 1 points in the skill that heals you when your shields are full. This is going to be your main form of healing for a long time. And really anymore than that is a waste being fully healed in 4 minutes is fine as you really only need to get to 50%+2 health to not get one shotted by bullshit. Then dump 5 in sentry and 5 in willing. Finally put the point in rocket pods and ignore the guerrilla skill tree for a while. Now switch focus to gunpowder and put points in impact, metal storm, longbow, battlefront, steady and do or die.
Remember you can respec at anytime (even when sanctuary disappears just go to Liar's berg). So prior to the warrior if you want to switch it up and get a nuke or double turrets or 2 guns go ahead. You will notice that without sentry+rocket pods your turret sucks a hell of a lot, and without gunpowder you will be pretty darn weak.

You're still talking about Salvador, right? I'm going to assume you are.

You're at 5, which means you can finally Gunzerk - let's talk about that. When you Gunzerk, you're going to start regenerating ammo and get something like 50% of your health healed back. You also get a little damage reduction, but it's negligible. You're going to want to drop the action skill when you're hurting a little bit; shields down and maybe a third or more of your health gone. Two, you can't charge into combat - you're still supposed to be doing things at range (for now, at least). At the start of the game, pistols offer decent damage output and accuracy without zooming, and ammo isn't too hard to find. Most sniper rifles offer better damage and they're accurate enough to hit most things without zooming, but they take up most of your field of vision and ammo is only in the double digits. As for rifles, shotguns, and SMGs - they're great for crowd control while 'zerking, but against any single enemy you'll be missing half of the time unless you're within punching distance - and you probably don't want to be there.

So you're going to need to find some decent guns. As ridiculous as it is, you might want to consider getting somebody to have your back and farm Flynt for a little bit to get some decent pistols, or just ask - as soon as my Live sub comes in the mail, I'll be dumping all of my level 10-30 Mechro stuff. There's also red chests in the backwater area Southern Shelf where Midge-Mong rules - there's a glacier in the back with a boatload of bullymongs and a few chests, too.

Also - Class Mods! They're nice. If it gives a skill boost, be sure to pick up one with skills you have points in already - you need to have points in the skill to get any of the bonus.

edit: Hah, my live subscription card just came in the mail. What's your gamertag?

The Angel from my Nightmare

For the Gunzerker you're going to want to start out in the Brawn tree just to get some extra survivability. Basically get it down to the third tier and max out the health regen skill. Then start working on your Gunlust tree. You want to take that all the way to the bottom because No Kill Like Overkill is the best final skill.

Once you get the health skills just focus on damage dealing skills like Money Shot and Divergent Likeness. I never found the middle tree that useful, with the right guns and mods focusing on the left tree will have you dealing a ridiculous amount of damage. The allure of gunzerking for 3 minutes straight kind of wears off once you realize that keeping your gunzerking time at base and getting an action skill cooldown relic so you can use your gunzerking as a near-instant healing power is ultimately more useful. Pretty much the only thing I really like from the middle tree is Steady as She Goes and the double grenade skill.

Arsenal wise you're going to want a slag SMG as your first gun and a high power shotgun as your second. I like Hyperion shotguns because eventually you'll be shooting so many bullets so quickly at near perfect accuracy it won't matter that it started out with like 19% accuracy or whatever. For the third weapon I choose a rocket launcher, the highest damage possible to get me out of hairy situations or quickly pop back up from FFYL. Last gun is your choice, I usually go with a high power elemental sniper rifle or the Trespasser but I usually just put whatever I want to try out at the time there. Other good guns for the second slot would be a Torgue pistol like the Double Penetrating Unkempt Harold or a high damage Jakobs shotgun so you can Money Shot like every other trigger pull.

There is some slight variability when you hit level 50 and have access to legendary class mods, as you'll want to put one point in both the top middle skills to get an instant +6 to both of them at a cost of 2 points and then build up the trees as I said before, allocating points in the other 4 tier 1 skills as you see fit.

I have 130 hours as the Gunzerker and this strategy has seen me through the entire game and all DLCs.

I hid on the nearby rooftop for that one. For a game about being an Ultimate Badass, I spent a lot of time hiding, although primarily from Badass Constructors. I hid in the container crate near the helipad thing for the Hyperion Circle of Slaughter too. For the one in Thousand Cuts I book it up to the yellow loot chest up the stairs and peek round the corner to pop off some corrosive shots. The columns and the overhang on the building between you and the Constructor are invaluable there.

The Evolution is basically an upgraded Neogenator. In my opinion, it's one of the best shields in the game and is super easy to farm a good version for. High stats mean you will regen health more often than the Neogenator, and the added bonus of regen when using action skill is great for someone like Gaige or Salvador.

The O-Negative is a great grenade if you're more worried about survivability than damage output. The guns themselves are kind of poo poo. The stats are high, but most of them have stupid gimmicks which render them worthless. The Seraph pistols are alright I guess.

The Seraphim does about 4K more damage per shot, Actualizer does about 2.5K more damage per shot, Ahab does about 189K more damage per rocket and the Tattler is now x3 bullets instead of x2. Ahab is pretty decent now if you can get over it's dumb cannon fire. If the Actualizer was more accurate I would use that over the Bitch, but I guess that's not happening.
