Horrible Smutbeast posted:Agreed. The entire thing just felt like some fanfiction wank which really sucks since you can tell a lot of time and effort was put into it. The people animating it probably wanted to make a game, realized they couldn't (or didn't) want to code. It even has a hilariously bad robot boss battle. I liked this. Is there a longer version or was this trailer all they made?

Warning, this is a friend post. My friend likes trolling people on call of duty and records reactions. He makes a complete mockery of the rules of the games. Some of the reactions are hilarious. This one in particular is ridiculous. Its an aggressive woman who ends up shouting a plethora of abusive language while her 5-year old (or something like that) son is clearly in the vicinity. Oh yeah and she ends up calling her son a ballbag. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzg0Z8uQwYY In case you didn't know why she is getting so angry, he is playing a game in which you level up to a new weapon by shooting people but he decides to just constantly knife people which knocks them back a level. Have a look at the other ways he annoys people if you want... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJQTwMd7G4A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MZyvkKowoc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VDviT4nauA

HBO did a documentary on this performance which shows him coming to her house and hanging out for a while in the days before the performance. It was the first they'd seen each other in ten odd years, but I seriously doubt she didn't know he'd be at the performance when it opened. Whether she was expecting him at that particular moment, whose to say? Edit: That documentary appears to be what this clip is cut from, if I'm not mistaken.

This has probably been posted before but certainly not for a few threads at least. Escape & Control is a documentary series by British journalist Jon Ronson (Secret Rulers of the World, The Men Who Stare at Goats). The series is essentially a collection of 5 minute documentaries about governments, corporations, and advertisers, using the internet to control public opinion and spread false information. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS67CXqxH04 The whole series is great, epecially the insane meeting with the creator of Rebecca Black's Friday. Why would anyone commit insurance fraud with a vehicle? Does insurance work differently over there? I don't get it. Here in America, the most you'd get from an insurance company is a check to cover damages to your car. Why would anyone go through all of that trouble & risk jail time just to get some money to fix a minor fender-bender?

I don't know, but sometimes the assessed cost to fix the damages is more than they're really "worth." To wit: I had a car I paid $1800 for back in school. Some guy in a truck backed into it while it was parked and I wasn't even in the car, the responsibility was a clear 100% his. I took the car in to get it assessed, and the garage said it'd cost about $3600 to fix. I had the option of either letting the insurance company pay the garage to fix it, or just taking a check for that amount and seeking my own solution. I did that, jimmied the headlight back out with a prybar, and called it good, because I didn't give a poo poo about the cosmetic damage, which is often what racks up the price so much: "Oh, we can't just fix that one little spot, we have to replace this entire god drat $4000 panel." I suspect that's what most of these people are going for: cause a little accident with some superficial cosmetic damage (a scratch on a bumper, who cares?) and then take the check that would cover replacing the entire bumper, because that's what the shop would have to do. But instead, this guy with the bus gives them some REAL damage to deal with. Also, claiming injury can lead to mega $$$.

I always assumed the jist of it was that there would be money involved so cops don't show up. My understanding is that cops are not so nice in Russia and you would rather just pay the guy than get them involved.
