Saboteur Shadow of a Doubt Rope The Trouble with Harry The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) Marnie Torn Curtain Topaz Frenzy Family Plot Please note that if these are identical to the 2012 box set versions, The Man Who Knew Too Much has serious color fade issues but generally good transfer quality, while Marnie and Family Plot have horrible video quality. Saboteur and Shadow of a Doubt are supposed to be nearly perfect, while the rest are varied shades of very good to good quality. Rear Window, Vertigo, and The Birds are not listed yet.

Why is it that when you have an awesome poster like this: they decide to make the video cover look like this:  I know these decisions are made for marketing reasons. But honestly the poster would be a better way to market this. The poster looks exciting and mysterious. And it clearly shows who did that art gives a poo poo. The video cover looks like some bland direct to video alien movie with no effort photoshopping for a cover. Almost as if it was an afterthought to even bother making a cover for the movie.

Help, I need someone in a blue shirt!" "Woah tentacles, cool! This looks like something that would distract me from the low self-esteem brought on by pernicious advertising! They have those big ol' seven-disc sets, which happens in shipping a lot for people who order them online. Speaking of, it looks like there is FINALLY a place to buy 7, 8, 9, and 10-disc cases in North America if you need a replacement.

Plus, you get a real frame of 70mm from the restoration, a coffee table book, and the soundtrack CD all in a glossy laserdisc sized box. It's $50 more than Amazon's sale price for the 2-disc, but I think it's worth it for the extras and swag... and it's definitely a collectable.

So if anyone is interested I know the "manufacturing error" in relation to Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. The DVD included in the combo pack is in the 1:33:1 aspect ratio and it's missing a special feature that's included on the BD as well as the French and Spanish subtitles. So none of the issues are anything that effects the actual blu-ray disc. I haven't watched the movie yet, but I plan on doing so tonight. So I'll let everyone know how it looks.
