My mom is one of the now-stereotypical older ladies who in a million years would never have listened to his show (in fact, she never listened but would have no trouble declaring her dislike for him based on his reputation) who now loves him from that dumb show. So basically, yeah, if I was him I would ride that for all it was worth.

So Howard has decided to 'punish' the audience by not discussing AGT. It's lame and passive aggressive. However, callers are getting through and they immediately ask about AGT and he cuts them off. That's actually pretty funny.

It doesn't matter how ridiculous an assertion you make, he'll feel the need to address it. He responded to (and blocked) my brother for asking, "Is it true your father was a hermit crab?"

I didn't get to listen to the whole segment. Did he really sound desperate? Sirius really dicked him over. Back when he had the afternoon drive slot on H101, he was the 2nd most listened to show on Sirius, but they paid him poorly. I don't blame him for wanting to leave. I figured he must be making decent money with the syndication stuff he has going on in Florida markets. I guess all these lawsuits and divorce stuff have drained him financially. The RadioIO thing was hilarious though. He bought into that hook, line, and sinker. He hoped he'd get the same numbers he got from Sirius. I think someone figured out that the online streaming stuff got like a few hundred listeners at best.

I don't have documentary proof, but I strongly suspect it was Howard that hosed him over -- the budget for both his channels is controlled by him. Same way he hosed over Billy West and Jackie.

I don't either but I'd love to know. When it suits him, Howard controls everything on H100 and H101. When he doesn't want to deal with something, he says the channels are run by Sirius and that the staff are really employees of Sirius.

Five minutes later: "Here's how I want things to be run!!!" Usually whenever the topic is money, Howard suddenly has zero control over anything. But, when it comes to who can use the bathroom he's like Stalin.
