Cream-of-Plenty posted:This looks like "sex" as drawn by somebody who doesn't quite understand what sex should be. Sonic asks, "Is it in yet?" and Black Sonic gets angry, so his eyes disappear. I think it was based on that one time the artist saw cats or dogs mating or something. "Black Sonic" is an actual Sega character, Shadow The Hedgehog. Most infamous for starring in his own game where he wields a gun. An actual handgun, not a cartoon one. Goons, of course, will probably have a better image of him thanks to this:

Goofy thought he was making cute pictures for a baby clothing store or something, but it was all a prank by Pete who posted it all over the internet. Well, Olive is way too skinny anyway. Maybe she should try that spinach once in a while.

The second image is from a /tg campaign in which a group of Orks disguise themselves as Space Marines to infiltrate a particularly dumb part of the Imperium. Or something, I forget the details.

It's crazy how much stuff was made in /tg/ about 40k that's still funny. And how much of it still isn't canon. <>

The best detail is the spotlight and the fan, for the dramatic lighting and the billowing seals on the Grey Knight.

Am I the only one here thinking that the game the WH4K fan art is depicting sounds a lot more fun than the actual game?

It was originally much more camp and pulpy than it is now. Unfortunately they've switched from grimdark being a bit of a giggle to lampshade your adventures with stupid armies, to it being the core ethos and SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Is that all really as bizarre as it seems, or can any Ausgoons confirm there's a large overlap between Blinky Bill fans and fans of scenery from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas? And seriously, GTA was awesome and all, but the PS2 era games were not good looking, why would you pick that game to use non descript screenshots from?

I find the trend of cartoon characters + public transport kind of adorable. It's like a little kid that likes dragons, and he likes dinosaurs, so he draws a dragon fighting a T-Rex! Except instead of dragons and dinosaurs, it's children's cartoons and transit vehicles; and instead of a little kid, it's probably some forty-year-old autistic guy with a copy of MS Paint and a great, burning ambition.
