The Hetzer, in WoT, is a slow load of crap that gets an incredibly nasty 105mm howitzer that's hilarious when lobbing HEAT rounds. But fast and maneuverable, it is not. Since they slapped a Hetzer frame and gun kit on a Pz38t, it makes a lot more sense how fast and silly the GuP Hetzer is. An equivalent in WoT would be a goon favorite, if it were possible. The Hetzer is just the TD version of the 38t, it has the same engine and everything else, and a slightly lower power/weight ratio. The only explanation is ANIMES, really.

Is it me or did they drop the instructor as a character? I think last time we saw her was the Saunders battle. I thought that they would at least show her in the finale.

Its technically possible to get the Hetzer nice and fairly zippy, but you need absurdly over-skilled crew for that tier. And all the best modules etc. I mean I guess the same applies to almost every tank, but I had never thought of the Hetzer at least being slow compared to other Tier 4 TDs.

Those schools just like sticking to one gimmick for some reason or another. I can't wait to see the Argentine gimmick team just to see everyone else's bafflement at a team consisting of only one model of vehicle with no variants. Actually, it'd be cool to see more obscure tanks full stop. I'd guess maybe the Sentinel will show up as the Koala team's weapon of choice, and the choice of lineup for Oorai was good in that regard, but there's so many weird and wonderful tanks out there. I think it'd be hilarious if they encountered, say, the British team (Bovington Girls' Grammar School, perhaps?) and find that they're actually using a mix of tanks instead of keeping to the 'National Theme' like the Japanese schools.

I would be happy just to see matches between other nations, like England vs U.S or Italy vs Russia. There are so many battle scenarios they can write out. Would also be fun to see the instructor and Nishizumi mama join the fun.

I just watched the raw of the 3rd OVA. It's quite talky, so I didn't understand much, but the Anglerfish team walks around the inside of the school ship, and apparently, school ships have been around since ancient times. And then they go to a hot spring at the end. What would you like to see in a second season? I'd like it to be a 2-cour season, so they could have regular season matches where they don't have to win, and so they can focus on some of the tank crews that didn't get much screen time.

I'd like to see some shorts with the three judges (A, B, and C) and maybe some more of the Nishizumi family. Practice skirmishes with only the team might be a chance for more individuality with the ensemble. Also having them operate each others' tanks for practice or during a match would be an amusing sight

I'd like to see the teams interact with each other more- everyone attending a tea party at Darjeeling's, and Katyusha slips vodka into hers, for example. Maybe see some actual tanks tactics like Blitzkrieg, or perhaps some light, fast tanks from the Cold War period (wasn't there a Soviet tank that was almost entirely crewed by women because it was so small, or something?). No fanservice though, unless it's of big, strong tanks, barrels glistening in the sunlight, tracks slowly grinding across the bare landscape CommissarMega fucked around with this message at 10:00 on Mar 29, 2013 |

All early war tank tactics were terrible. It was only late war when countries started to use decent tactics after years of trial and error.

Artificer posted:Didn't they have no tanks during WWII? So how would that work? Well, they did have a single tank division. Of course, the tanks in that were former soviet tanks (lots of T-26 plus a couple T-28, T-34, KV-1 and a single ISU-152 during the Continuation War) plus a few StuGs bought from the Germans and some Vickers 6-ton tanks rearmed with soviet 45mm guns. Also, the unique BT-42: Captured BT-7 chassis with a newly-designed turret housing a british 4.5-inch howitzer.
