That CD came out in like 98 so cell phones were pretty hot poo poo at the time. He probably had that Nokia one everyone had tho. Right after taking that picture he probably played a couple games of Snake.

It came out in 2000 but I searched for about 10 minutes and couldn't find anything on it other than this glowing review

Also product description: "This rap group is the "Voice of the Streets." The CD is banned in 38 states because of it's explicit contents and it's grimy tru-2-life situations. America"s best kept secrets are finally exposed. From crooked cops to prostitution and drug smuggling, this group tells it all!!!"

I really want to listen to it.

I haven't listened to it in like 10 years, it's probably not as good as I remember but it had some pretty standout songs on it. I got it off a dopefiend who used to buy heroin from one of the guys in the group and we'd pass around it at parties for a couple years, but then it got lost.

So joey bada$$, underachievers and flatbush zombies are coming to my neck of the woods this month. Anybody seen them live? Worth a two hour drive?

Also, while I'm at it, what's a good place to start with joey? I have indigoism and it's fantastic.

Edit: well i probably should have read three posts ahead of me, but the question still stands about joey badass.

Alabama's severely underrated Rich Boy has a new album in like 5 days? Pimp On is some smooth rear end South poo poo, and there's even a music video for the eponymous single. Unfortunately no Polow this time around, but the samples sound like a mix of early T.I. and a Trillville album. Which is a good thing.

He's got like 2 mixtapes and is featured heavily on the Pro Era crew tape and I think they all came out within the last 18 months.

I'd also check the Flatbush Zombies' tape as well, it's really very similar to Indigoism (not quite as smooth, but some real standout tracks imo).

And I'm actually a little jealous of the dudes getting to seem them all live (assuming they actually give a decent show) since they're some of my fav current artists. They all kinda got styles that compliment each other, without being too similar.

I find D.R.U.G.S to be better than Indigoism and from what I've been hearing about their live performances is that their all illmatic. The best part about the concert is all of those artists at one show for $15.

" Every day is halloween,

Drag you to the ocean floor

I drink a keg of acid
