Your Two Mand Band Coors exclusive league is up and running in the classifieds! Go sign up and have a ridiculous amount of fun!

By the way, this is my Barry team with 6 games left in the season. I'd say 02 and 04 Barry did pretty good.

Alright, I'm gonna start keeping my eye open for OLs so anyone who is interested in rushing one, be ready.

The season is officially over, and he Barry's came in 95-67. I barely got the wild card, but I feel like this offense was made for the playoffs, so anything can happen!

Some stats here to show just how much we thoroughly dominated the league in terms of offense.

We walked 1526 times. The 2nd place team in walks was Bobby Abreu with 853.
Despite walking that much, we also had the most hits with 2587. Joe Jackson, the 2nd place team had 2485. That team won about 40 games because Smokey Joe Wood was thoroughly demolished and never played healthy the entire season.
We hit 486 dingers, 2nd place team hit 286. We had 413 stolen bases and only 9 caught stealings.
Our batting average was .372. OBP was .487, and the OPS was 1.148.

We also made the most errors in the league, with 675.

Edit: Also, 02 Barry won MVP. And because I love this picture, i'll post the final here again.

Devo I'm about to submit my RC team, I just can't decide on a stadium and pun/name for this group of people who will probably lose a lot of games together...

Available stadiums are:

Shea: 0/-1/-1/-1/-1

Riverfront: -2/+2/0/+1/+1

Comiskey I: +1/0/+1/-1/-2

Fenway: +2/+4/0/+1/0

Anyone got any suggestions on either?

In the end, it comes down to throwing one pitch after another, and seeing what happens. With each new consequence, the game begins to take shape.

I AM SPUTNIK'S PARACHUTE ACCOUNT
So, I'm in the Goon Code league, and I can't really complain. I'm in 1st, doing quite well, so I don't want to come across as whiny; but at the same time, I really need a question answered:

What am I doing wrong?

Explanation:

With a few exceptions, most of my players are putting up their worst seasons ever, or are well below average.

Examples from my team:

1985 Tim Raines

Actual Stats from 1985 .320/.405/.475

Whatifsports Averages over 783 seasons: .327/.397./.458

Worst Season in Whatifsports: .274/.340/.383

This season, in over 250 PA: .238/.348/.387

Arguably, Tim Raines is on pace to have his worst season in 784 hypotheticals, and I don't understand why.

I have him lead off, but always rest him at 99% stamina or worse, so he's not playing tired... Did I just win the bizarro lottery?

Other guys on my team's "Not playing for a contract year" players:

2000 David Segui:

Average (Nearly 700 seasons): .330/.378/.437

Worst: 278/.320/.384

For me: .272/.323/.451

2000 Edgar Martinez: (Almost literally and completely a DH.)

Average (Only over 11 seasons...): .326/.407/.486

Worst: .282/.351/425

For me: .257/.332/.425

1955 Ernie Banks

Average over 17 seasons .295/.337/.477

Worst: .252/.295/.398

For me: .259/.310/.491

2008 Joe Mauer

Average over 358 seasons .311/.387/.398

Worst: .308/.373/.358

For me: .223/.325/.335 Def worth 6 million +

Other players massively underproducing despite sample size:

Geoff Jenkins
Doc Gooden
Roy Halladay

Does anyone have any idea what's up?

The only thing I can see that really catches my eye is that I'm sub .500 at home :Metropolitan Stadium (HR LF/RF:1/1 1B:2 2B:0 3B:2)

And a world series contender on the road.

Is it the stadium?

The performance histories, apparently, are open-league only, and the level of competition is higher in a 105MM cap league than an 80MM open league.
