How were you able to get a print from him? I love like everything he's done, but I can't find any way to get a legit print on the website.

For content, a great paper:

:aaa: Seriously? You're telling me that the pill to combine a woman's urethra, anus, and vagina into a single opening using retroviruses isn't real? The one that was advertised on a youtube channel called "UCB Comedy"? Man, now I just don't even know what to think. Guess I better cancel my order. It was going to be my wife's birthday present too. :(

There is a German team, an American team, a British team and a Russian team all with the appropriate tanks. The protagonist's team is a wild mix of German and Japanese tanks.

I think this is really appealing. Gorgeous color palette, and a girl who doesn't fit the mold for this type of art. Looking at the rest of his stuff it seems to be done with a lot of affection and no irony that I can see. I love her goofy, gawky smile, full figure and exaggerated facial features. It's just really cool art.

I think it would be better if her figure weren't so exaggerated and porno-perfect. It would certainly make it a little harder to be convinced that he's using them purely for jerk-off fodder.

None of that makes any sense. If $0.50 is RM1.50, how is $150,000,000 equal to RM459,000? The last figure is at least in the right ballpark.

Yes. Highschool teams are all restricted to WW2 era tanks. Their tankwondo/tankery/Panzerfahren instructor on the other hand is driving a Japanese Type 10.

Taiyo la Paix does not sell prints off his website. In the summer of 2010, I was moving to a new apartment after living at my parents' house for 13 months and was looking for some artwork to decorate it. I contacted him via email asking him if there was any way I could buy a print of 'Friday'. Here was his response. This is from August 2010.

quote:

Dear Mr. ------,

Have I met you? forgive me--your name sounds familiar, but I can't remember if we are acquainted. Thank you for your interest in my art--it means a lot to me that you would like my work enough to want a print of it. I haven't gotten into selling prints, but you are welcome to get one made. You can go to

https://www.taiyolapaix.com

where you will find high-resolution images of all my work. If you go to a printing place that does giclees, you can get a nice giclee (a quality print that won't fade) for about $20. I go to Michelle Miller at Double Exposure in Fletcher, close to the Asheville Airport (299-8180, https://www.doubleexposureart.com). Somewhere in the margin of the print, I'd like it if you would credit the piece with my name and the title. If you would like, I'd be happy to sign it.

Again, thank you for your encouragement. It makes me happy to know that what I do might mean something to other people. I hope you are having a lovely day, and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have further questions or whatever.

Yours,

Taiyo

My response was that I wanted him to make me a print, mail it to me, and I'd pay him whatever he chose. I expressed that I wanted this to happen because I wanted him to get paid for his artwork. He obliged for not very much money. Whatever you may think of the dude's art he is a really nice guy. I hope he doesn't mind me spreading this email, it's not done with any malice.
