 Capybaras are related to guinea pigs, but I think that newborn capys resemble guinea pigs the most. This one is a couple hours old. They're born ready to go, unlike a lot of rodents which lack fur and have sealed eyes.

This is Vladimir Konstantinov just after winning the Stanley Cup in 1997. Days later, he was paralyzed in a limosine accident. The following season the his team wore this patch. (The Russian says '[We] Believe'  And When they won the Cup again that year he was with them to celebrate.  And this is him today, walking unassisted for the first time.

I was just reminded that bobtail squid exist. They are called dumpling and stubby squid. They are also symbiotic bros with bacteria.Wikipedia posted:Bobtail squid have a symbiotic relationship with bioluminescent bacteria (Vibrio fischeri), which inhabit a special light organ in the squid's mantle. The bacteria are fed a sugar and amino acid solution by the squid and in return hide the squid's silhouette when viewed from below by matching the amount of light hitting the top of the mantle.    This little guy is probably intimidating the gently caress out of some poor photographer.
