sonicice posted:I don't think two more minutes is going to do anything groundbreaking to the song. If someone doesn't like it now, I don't see it changing up all that much. They wouldn't cut more interesting parts of the song out. My guess is the extended cut is just going to be more instrumental and repeating parts that are already in this cut. a radio edit is one thats more accessible to radio. they could have very well watered it down while shortening it, especially if you consider that two minutes is literally a third of that song. Like for instance there could be an interesting lead in, or a different ending. Alot can happen to a song in two minutes and an edit, Daft Punk or not.

Won't we be surprised when the full song is released and the extra two minutes feature a dubstep break. The whole "going back to go forward" thing was clever misdirection.

This song is balls to the walls rad. Daft Punk is the best music to work out/bicycle to, can't wait for more of this! EDIT: To reiterate what I said earlier, it's kind of bizarre that the last thread was flaunting that 10 hour loop of a 16 second snip, yet people are complaining about lack of variety here. Daft Punk songs have always idled in a groove.

There's a tension between "pop" Daft Punk and "acid noise" Daft Punk. Homework proved they could loop grooves for minutes on end and have it rule. Discovery proved they could take loops and pace them with vocals and song structures to produce more conventional pop songs. Interestingly, HAA proved they could also fail at both. Some things work as static loops without development. Some things don't.

I really really like this song. It makes me want to put on brown leather pants and brown leather jacket, sit back in a chair and light up a cigar. I always expect Homework sounding stuff, but this is really clean and laid back. Catchy.

I know we've been getting "Get Lucky" fake-rear end leaks all week, but I think we have the first genuine leak of a different random track on the album "Lose Yourself To Dance" (track 6) It sounds more or less completely legit and I guess people have already heard it at Coachella. Not sure what I think about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4Md7LLkK9I Edit: I'm fairly certain I hear Julian Casablancas on this one but I may be retarded.
