So far i've counted LA's two top 40 stations, prominent hip-hop station and its second place rival, the all spanish-language american music top 40, The prominent independent music and NPR station, and both-alt rock. I'm desperately waiting for the time when I can mash on any preset at any time and hear it. Full daft punk singularity.

Man you guys are reminding me that people still actually listen to the radio because I haven't for years. If I want to listen to the song I just play it on my iphone hooked up to my car or something.

I'm kinda sad I haven't picked up this on the radio here in Norway yet. Even though the song is on the top 10 straming lists and what not. I guess my problem is that I usually only listen to radio for 15 minutes when I'm in the shower in the morning and that's about 2 songs.

Don't listen to radio, but I've heard it playing in three different clubs in Finland so far. It's awesome.

Christine probably plays it late evenings though. QuasiQuack fucked around with this message at 13:41 on Apr 29, 2013 |

Interesting. I have to try to catch some more of her radio shows. Saw her live last year, girl got skills. And a good taste when it comes to music. Eventually, I guess I could try to branch out and listen to NRJ or Radio 1 or something too, instead of being locked at P3 and P4.

I swear I hear it at least twice a day and my commute is only 20 minutes. Our local edm station (c89.5) played it every 30-40 minutes the thursday before release, it was epic.

Here's a cover of Get Lucky that I've seen circulating a good deal the past few days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5Cp55MvX54 It sounds like it could be a b-side from The xx. While it's not bad, I guess, I don't think it's particularly good either. The spirit of the original seems completely lost here.

The new collaborators is up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc3I0Ent9Zg edit: We've heard one song and I already feel like this is going to be the best album of the 2000's if the collaborators and the feeling of this whole hype machine is really what it turns out to be. Some of the intro parts to new segments come in rather quietly and without emphasis, but that's my only real gripe. Remember, too, that he's modeling this recreation off of the Coachella show. If you're familiar with the Paris show as per the Alive 2007 CD or any of the other ones, there will be differences. Edit: Wait, Boys Noize produced a Chilly Gonzalez album? Wow I got a major music nerd boner when he started in on the chord progression talk. That's awesome that it sounds like they're trying to create a cohesive musical throughline in this album. I always like albums that aspire to be more than just a playlist of individual songs.

I really like his insight on the album, it really looks like we're going to have to take 50-75 minutes and sit down with a good pair of headphones and listen to the album as a single piece. I am absolutely okay with this.

I've pretty much never been hyped for a new album. I've just sort of kept an eye on releases and picked up anything that caught my eye. But this album. I'm more hyped for it than I was for Diablo 3 and I was pretty loving hyped for that. I think I might actually buy the album in physical form for the first time in almost 10 years.
