It basically already exists if you can be bothered. Ren'Py has an android implementation, and a friend of mine was messing with it for a couple of days and got a mostly stable version of KS running on a tablet.

Of course, the developers have explicitly said they don't want to port it or sell it ever and they have a CC BY-NC-ND license on it, so... :v:

edit: also I think the native resolution of the game is like 800x600 or something so I'm sure it'd look great on an HDTV.

No you don't understand, the Ouya NEEDS cripple hentai games.

Even 800x600 upscaled badly would have KS looking better than 99% of the GRIMOIRE's current library.

She she said they had boots on the ground, did she mean that literally?

Like, there's a pair of boots just sitting there at the factory just in case one of the team makes the trip over there? Did she get briefed by these boots on her trip? Maybe the boots have become a communist sympathizer and they are the ones preventing the pictures.

Also whats the deal with Airtight Games and this soul viking or whatever.. it's ouya exclusive? They must be porting it to other devices, right? There's no way that an actual company would spend money for a dev team with realistic expectations of returns from this piece of poo poo, right? They can't be that dumb.

He didn't really highlight the games. He showed only tiniest fragments of gameplay. There was more time spent on watching him play games from behind the shoulder than actually seeing the games. I just don't know. They showed three games, which one was the bonus one? Maybe spend less time talking to an offscreen mumbler and more time showing games.

The games look more polished than a lot of what I've seen so far, so that was sort of nice. The weiner dog game looks like it started off with Danc's prototyping tiles. I'd like to see an introduction, starting from launching the game to playing 5-10 minutes. I think Giant Bomb (or Total Biscuit? Both?) does that, and it gives a better understanding of what the game actually is.

It is truly awful. "Uh we have uh... a bonus video game. We asked what you wanted to see on the video game spotlight and you said... video games. So uh... here's a videogame"

I have a terrible feeling he was genuinely upset when Stan was making that joke about punching him in the face, even though that was the only remotely funny thing in the video.

Also, his set up is terrible. Why would you have the camera set up so that you have to awkwardly look behind you to look at the game and then spin back to look at the camera?

Dubwars is literally Beat Hazard with a more restrictive library of music. Also it probably plays worse.

Dungeons of whatever looked unfunny and boring but the sprite art wasn't terrible.

Weiner dog game looked surprisingly okay? The gameplay seemed like some kind of puzzle game version of snake but it looked alright. I don't know why you'd want to play it on a TV rather than a phone, though. The graphics seemed like they'd look fine on a phone and the gameplay didn't seem like it would be any better on a controller than a touchscreen.

That's.... actually pretty clever. Snake as a puzzle game? Huh... I like that mechanic. Leaving trails of your body behind you so you can walk on them, eating food so you can be long enough to get past a section... that's pretty cool.

Oh gently caress, give me a version of that game where you play as Jake from Adventure Time and I'm all over it. Stretchy powers activate!

And the art isn't half bad either... Oh but its an old iOS game they just ported to OUYA

I have a somewhat stupid question that I've honestly googled for but apparently my search terms are a little too generic.

1 x USB key (4 Jiggaquads)
1 x laptop with bunch o' ROM's
1 x OOTYA with N64 emulator

I plug USB key into laptop and it lights up, gives me a drive, lets me copy to it, all things good. I plug it into OOMPA USB port and... nothing. No light, no mounting of drive, no... nothing. I tried snooping around for a mount option, but I didn't find one. Every google search I've tried just wants to tell me about Amazon having the ORLY and that it has USB port and storage.

Am I missing something blatantly obvious or is my OOKYA USB port broke?

I think your issue is :filez:, alternatively android isn't liking the filesystem and not mounting it.

Yup I agree it makes sense the factory wouldn't let her take pictures of production, but they should have handed her one unit if she wanted to take some pictures outside the secure area. It seems possible she was there they are so horrible at updating their customers that maybe it happened and she's just so braindead stupid to only mention it on twitter.

There's no mount option if you go Settings>Storage? (assuming they kept the stock android settings)

EDIT: If you have a working micro USB port then following https://devs.ouya.tv/developers/docs/setup should allow you to use adb and install apks that way, you'd be able to install EStrongs http://www.estrongs.com/en/download.html which you can link to dropbox or whatever then copy the roms and such that way.

The blatantly obvious thing you're missing is that you can install an emulator directly on your laptop and plug your TV into it's video out port.

If only you'd posted this before you wasted money on an OBLONG, we could have saved you $99 (which you could have used to buy a spare HDMI cable and two Xbox controllers to use with your laptop)

On the other hand Dreamzle seems to know that his game sucks and his plan to get around that is to be an Ouya Exclusive, and hope people are so desperate they buy whatever is first on the promo list. So a lot less sympathy there.
