Well Isabel is steadily climbing the ladder into "Favorite Character" zone

Her Grandapa is amazing, and by sassing him she has instantly dropped to "worst character."

I don't think it was explicitly mentioned, but it's implied with how Ed and Isabel show up to Max's house in their jammies at the same time. Isabel wouldn't have gone out of her way to pick up Ed otherwise when responding to a distress call.

Zack has said that Ed lives with Isabel before, but this is the first time its came up in the comic, I think.

I like how he's using some ink volutes as a decorative clothesline.

Also look at the little photo on the bookshelf. Grandpa, Ed, and Isabel?

Otherwise, a monkey plush, an 8-ball, some toy soldiers (or action figures or whatever) and a generic console (the shape reminds me a bit of the Nintendo 64; but it's not an exact match).

If you look closely you can see the shadow that the words cast in the glow coming off the television. The level of detail Zack consistently puts in this comic is genuinely amazing.

I bet Grandpa bought Ed that game because it's a fighting game and thus must be good for training. :allears: Or perhaps some sort of training proxy, since Ed doesn't seem to be taking part in the Spectral Fist lessons.

I wonder if the shoes have a ghost each, or if two shoes were considered an ideologically single item for the haunting purposes?

I bet it's only if the laces stay tied together.

Ed rules, and I love his nonchalantness. He's a fun guy. I'd put him and Max as my favorites in the Activity Club.

But then, I always thought Ness and Jeff would be total broes.

I maintain that in terms of story structure it's really more along the lines of Persona 3. :colbert: The character design seems to be strongly influenced by Earthbound, though, so I can understand people saying that.
