I graduated with a bachelor's degree in graphic design today! And I'm literally only one of two people in my family to graduate from college (the other being an awesome aunt of mine with a master's degree.)

I had to renew my driving licence (I don't drive, but I go to lots of clubs that ID everyone even though I'm 27), and was stressing about how I'd have to find the money to pay for a replacement. Then, when I dug out my paper counterpart that I need to renew it, I found a spare photocard with a 2015 expiry date. So basically, I went from trying to find money to renew my licence, to not having to do so for another 2.5 years

I was stressing over how I haven't attended class all semester and forgot to write my term paper until it was time to move out of my dorm, but then I woke up and remembered I graduated 8 years ago. Phew!

Phew! I do that all the time. It's the worst dream, but the best way to wake up. My day was awesome because I had an amazing biscuit sandwich from the farmers' market for breakfast. Then I cleaned house, did laundry, hung out with some friends and their absurdly adorable baby, and reconnected with an old, awesome friend over a long walk and a drink in a mellow pub that was actually playing decent music. And then I got home to find that the package containing thishad gotten to me extremely quickly. It's the dorkiest thing I've bought in a while, and drat is it cool. Good day.

I finally got the last of my grades back, 3 As, an A-, and a B+! That leaves me with a 3.6 GPA, and now I can finally relax and enjoy my summer. And I just saw the Casino Night episode of The Office

My baby is still inside where it belongs, has a heart beat still and shook its fist at me when I woke it up to get a better shot for the ultrasound. It's a real baby, not just some figment of my imagination! And it seems to be without any flippers or other abnormalities at this stage!

Today is my birthday! I am taking tomorrow off from work so I get a 4-day weekend (having a b-day around a federal holiday comes in handy when saving vacation time  )My co-workers sang happy birthday to me when I got here, they'll sing it again later before we eat the cake one of my supervisor's made me. My boyfriend works nearby and he sent me a text to go look at my car. He left me a little rose bouquet on it and said there's another surprise for later.

Some old friends I used to work with told me they missed me, and that I was far more capable than the new people that got hired when I left. Now I'm about to go to a friends house for a lunch/memorial day party To top it off, another friend comes home from the South for summer!

I've just started my very first college courses on May 21st, which marked exactly 8 years since I've been graduated high school. Which was also my Husband and I's 2 year wedding anniversary. Even thought I didn't get a very good mark on my first sample paper (a C), today I wrote a paper about why cats a jerk and I think that's awesome.

I was right up next to the stage for Napalm Death tonight and they played a bunch of classics like Scum, Suffer The Children, You Suffer and their cover of Nazi Punks gently caress Off, which everyone was singing along to. Got approved for a new one bedroom apartment should be able to get my stuff packed and get moved next weekend, planning on trying to get everything in 1 or 2 trips Saturday. Just gotta get the power bill, cable/internet, and renter's insurance taken care of and I'll be set. Closer to work, better neighborhood, reasonable prices...only downside is it's on the third floor, but it's recently been renovated so all new vinyl flooring and counters in the kitchen and bathroom, new dishwasher, range and fridge, and a nice little outdoor balcony. Plus it's literally walking distance to a couple grocery stores and the gym I go to, so mucho gas savings on top of it!

I want to get into live streaming tattoo sessions and I finally got this cheap capture card to accept my production cameras as an input source, so I don't have to use webcams! It's taken me almost a week to get these stupid things to play nice together. Exciting!

I usually hate haircuts. I never go to the same place twice because they always treat me like a 14 year old boy or 60 year old woman, or they'll charge too much. I finally found a place I like. There's deer heads on the wall, everything is made of wood, and they starting trimming my beard without warning, which was bizarre and intimate. I gave a 50% tip because I'm so happy I finally found a place I can go to comfortably.

Had my first day of work after over a month of unemployment. Last Thursday was also really awesome, because that's when I got the notice I was hired. Words can't explain how relieved I am to have a job again. I left my last one very suddenly, and it was one of those "maybe I should have done the smart thing, and not left until I get a new job." But honestly, I'm glad it worked out the way it did, because not having a job REALLY motivates you to find a new one, and odds are I wouldn't have gotten this cool, new job any other way. I work for a cooler company, don't have any more lovely travel, make more money, have flexible hours, etc... Let's throw one more in there for good measure.

It was a productive weekend, and my car got fixed, but I've been strangely freaked out by nothing in particular since yesterday morning, and my stomach has been upset and my mind frazzled. Some of it has been my apartment being weird, and some of it has been having to do things that I didn't want to do (go to church yesterday, help out at a golf tournament tonight) and worrying about family matters. Well, everything has gone well; maybe it just took going through it. Church was inspiring, my body felt better after getting done with work today, and the golf tournament was great -- hard work and lots of fun with good people. And it sounds like family matters, while not entirely resolved yet, will go well. I've now been sitting at home for two hours doing gently caress all and feeling great, and it's been glorious. My mind needs to settle down sometimes.
