Bears won't necessarily kill you. Unless they think you're a threat. Or are really hungry. Or just feel like it. An old housemate of mine worked on a black bear sanctuary for a few years. They had a significant problem with bears being too used to people and getting right up close to tourists to take food.

The bear starting to hibernate in that hutch of straw was so cute. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pqio2G_Ra6g&feature=fvwp&NR=1 Here are some deformed baby bears. They're a bit slow, and they like to scratch themselves. edit: I could watch slow lorises grab things and eat them all day long. Drifter has a new favorite as of 20:23 on May 19, 2013 |

Well besides the sun bear: Black bears are less likely to maul you than brown or grizzly bears so there's that... There's also the sloth bear, which despite having huge claws tends to be very shy and scared of people. Majestic.

Here's a baby capy named Little Bit cuddling up with some baby maras. She's only a week or two old in that picture and was removed from her litter because she got sick. She ended up getting better and is now doing fine. Capys are the first biggest rodent and maras are the fourth so as she grows she's going to rapidly outpace them in size. Here's a size comparison between adults:

Today in my astronomy class, the professor said that all the planets have a personality, and they're all his friends. That's pretty to me. Also, walking home, I saw a kid walking out of a GameStop. The kid looked at a Wii U in the window and said, "Are we in the future?"
