From what I know this is what you have to do for a perfect run of that quest: - Don't bump into her and stay close to her. You'll also probably be arrested if you pick her up - Catch her quickly in hide and seek - Give her a flask of water when she asks, quickly(you have enough time to run to storage/a shop and back though) - Lose the race, but barely. Don't walk during the race either, just double back if you're getting ahead of her

Is there a cap in regards to how much xp you can earn per kill? I've been killing hard mode Daimon and Death with pilgrim's charms, and they usually yield 999,999 x2. I'm level capped, so can't really tell from my xp counter how much will count towards the guest pawn rift crystal conversion. Either 999,999 or 1,999,998.

I don't even have a level 2 BBI Magick Bow ;_; Tried second-round Daimon tonight (without demon periapts) and basically did no damage at all to his second form, even ninefold. Normal shots with holy enchant did some damage, but eventually everyone died to meteorspam.

What's the three best places to put portcrystals down for Escort Quests? I know Bloodwater Beach is one, but any others?

Grab Godsbane out of your stash, run past everything and get to the Fallen City, save at the entrance. Check these two chests: The yellow and red upper right. You can jump across rooftops to get there and ignore the dragons, quickly check both chests. If the red one has a lvl 3 weapon (the yellow are level 3 gear/novelty, blue are level 3 armour), portal out - if not, Godsbane and try again. Took me about 5-6 tries to get the weapon. When you go to purify it, change yourself/pawn both to pure yellow classes - strider/ranger. This limits the possible outcomes pretty heavily - and the purification outcome will change depending on your/pawn's class. Incidentally, there's two easy lvl3 armour chests as well, in Midnight Helix - save at the entrance, belt over past the dragon up the stairs and right across the wooden bridge. The first chest is either a rift crystal or a lvl3 armour - jump off the convenient cliff if not. If it is, go back to the entrance and exit/enter to save it. Other chest is at the very top of the bridges - the winged demons are a pain in the rear end, but the top chest is a pretty good chance, too.

I just realized that my online status pawn renting was set to friends only. gently caress. That's like 20 hours worth of goddamn rc I could have earned :[ Anyways, now I'm like level 42 as a MK in Everfall and I don't really know what to do. I can kill the Everfall stuff well enough but BBI bosses are still too hard. I just feel like I don't do poo poo for damage. I have a dragonforged Almace, but I'm using Dragon's Dogma since it does way more damage. I'm currently using Full Moon Slash, Antler Toss, Great Cannon. Holy Fortress, Abyssal Riposte and Demonswrath for my shields. Is there a particularly good way for me to quickly max out my vocation rank? I'm at 7 or so and it's slowed down so much. Also anyone have comments on Stone Forest/Holy Furor for killing bosses?

Dosvidanya posted:Yellow/yellow gets magic bows? Good to know. Yeah, it's purely colour based. I started off not caring and just doing MA / Warrior pawn, so red/blue. Kept getting an asston of MK gear. Particularly for weapons, going yellow/yellow limits the options that the game can give you to Framae Blades, Darkening Storm and Blackwing Bow. Compare that to red/blue where you can get maces, swords, MA bows, longswords, daggers, etc. My Blackwing was actually an MK mace the first purify - reloaded and swapped to yellow/yellow and it came out as Blackwing. e; you can also do the same to modify the type of l3 armour that comes out (ie. red/red for warrior gear), but the enchantment on it will remain the same regardless. BBI is exactly what I want the main game to be. Two questions: how do I avoid being stoned by the cockatrice? And are Beholders (or whatever they call the giant eyeball things) immune to magic? I wish they'd slightly rename Hundred Kisses so I could cut monsters a thousand kisses deep.

Don't get breathed on by the cockatrice if you don't want to be petrified (or just carry secret softener/panacea/cockatrice liquor), and I think there are two Evil Eyes in the Everfall and one is immune to magic, but the one in BBI is not. They do all have shields though that they put up and you can only stab tentacles til they drop the shield.

Because no matter how many of these loving things I throw at Olra, she won't stop giving me drench resistance Master Rings and Magick Archer garbage. For the cockatrice, you can shoot the big puffy ballsack on its neck when it's about to breathe, and if you do an amount of damage that couldn't be described as "utterly pathetic", it should stop. This is all theoretical though. I find that unless I'm overpowered as gently caress, cockatrices are the absolute worst. Sometimes you can hang out on ledges and they'll end up really wanting to petrify the ground below you to no effect. I try to carry a few panceas on me at all times, which helps. Say goodbye to your pawns though.

Just beat BBI round 2. Was a tough fight, but I literally had to hopscotch up Daimon's body, and start stabby stabby. Got a rank 3 strider bow, and some decent armor. I also learned that striders are the murderpawns of the game, I had my pawn go through all the vocations with pretty boss gear. Fighter, he did nothing spectacular, mage/sorc he'd get pummeled, strider, he'd jump and slash, and go to town like a maniac. :mystery: I also noticed that during dragon fights, pawns are absolutely garbage, they don't know to jump on the dragon and won't fight it, or dodge. After you rez a pawn, they sit there for 5 seconds confused as to what they should be doing. I think BBI breaks their AI or summat like it.

Then the cockatrice did me a solid and petrified his rear end. Thanks, demon vulture. Now that I think about it, if you have some rancid bait meats, it could be a convenient way to farm wargs if you have no other way to kill them and somehow received the "slay 5 wargs" notice board quest.

360 goons: who needs RCs? I'm about to idle at Gran Soren cathedral for vocation points, and I figure I might as well use goon pawns. I don't know how much you'd get from it, but anything's better than nothing, I figure.

Same goes for anyone who wants to take my pawn for a ride and actually use him, level 42 Ranger at the moment. Debating on whether to keep him a ranger or put him back to strider for more stabbiness. Similar to this, any 360 goons who want their pawns taken for some serious questing and monster slaughtering let me know. One of my friends IRL bought the game so his pawn hogs one of my slots quite a lot of the time but I definitely still have time and space for the goons! Finally picked up this game for ps3 after being interested in it for a long time!! I'm super excited, it should be here tomorrow! I have been reading the OP and thread and looking at the wiki to try and get a basic grip on things, does anyone have any must know tips for starters? I'm not sure what class I want to play, I thought warrior looked sweet but from reading the thread people are saying they are actually the weakest? I'm pretty sure i'm going to make a small character so maybe I should start as a stryder instead?
