Is it worth picking up the iPad version of Tactics if I already own the iPhone one? Or should I just play it at 2x?

Kingdom Rush Frontiers chat - Sandwarriors are awesome (almost anything that gives you extra blocking units is awesome) but they actually make it really hard to level Alric. At least, I'm pretty sure Alric isn't getting any experience from them, and he sends them way down the path so nothing gets to him. If you move him up he just sends them farther forward. I think I'm gonna have to not equip that skill if I wanna level him. Also, does anyone know if having multiple instances of Falconer stacks the range bonus? Or does it just give you the critical chance at that point?

Re: backing up app data, does backing the application up on a computer/making a backup on that computer really just save the application without its data? That seems bizarrely stupid. What the hell is it syncing when I plug my phone into my Mac? Because its telling me apps are going to the computer.

Warhammer Quest, which just came out, is an incredibly good port of the old GW board game. If you liked the game, you should like this. Dungeons play pretty quickly - one decent crap gets you through. Also, Heroes and Castles is pretty fun. It will make your thumb sore, though.

To the guy who made Merchant to the Stars: You have your app configured to require iOS 6.1 - Maybe this is intentional, but I thought I'd still give you a heads up that you might be missing out on some potential sales.

I'm really diggin' Gangstar Vegas so far. I wasn't a huge fan of the previous ones. But this one is a significant improvement. Much bigger world, nice graphics, lots of voiceover, and the casino games are decently done. Bonus points for it being a universal app too. It's very Saints Rowish. I am a bit biased since Vegas is my second home, and I like MMA.

Also, I picked up Rio or whatever it was and was pretty impressed with the scope of the game but the controls were really hosed IMO. Especially driving. Is this improved at all in the control department?

Apocron posted:In FFT is it okay to dismiss all the generics except for the four I use? Yes to everyone but the 2 female knights that join you at the start of chapter 2. Despite them being generic in every way, they have one little mini quest related to them in chapter 4. Though I suggest just looking it up because the odds you of you being on the exact right day in the right town is pretty low.

Goddamn, Kingdom Rush 2 is hard. Mostly because of invisible & teleporting enemies, which are the most frustrating abilities to lose hearts to because it takes so much effort to build a unit composition that stops them. Also I've lost hearts to flying waves even though I had almost all slots filled with fully upgraded archer towers I beat every mission in every way in the first game in a few hours but even normal mode is pretty challenging in this one.

busfahrer posted:I know I'm late to the party, but still: When I still played, if I was willing and able to babysit the thing and respond quickly to every notification of stock being ready, I would stock cheap items first and work toward long lead items. At night before bed I would start as many long lead items as possible. My strategy then changed to focus on long lead first. I think this was better; I didn't need to respond to the "game" every 5 minutes and I had a decent income stream for little effort.

I like it, the first game got to be to easy, plus it was just Tesla Towers^100000000, and mix in a few musketeers for head shots. In Frontiers, I feel like I need to pay alot more attention to tower composition to deal with all the different abilities. I really like some of the new towers, but some are a bit underwhelming: Archmage, Axe dudes, both melee's. Also, although everyone's been calling this KR2, there is an actual KR2 in the works, and this is just an expansion. I would love at some point, the opportunity to try Frontier towers in the original game and vice-versa, just for shits.

I forgot if the KR1 axe melee tower could attack air also, but it was certainly better than the melee ones in this. I hope the assassin loot ability actually turns a decent profit since I always get it early on. The mage towers seem crappy indeed, axe dude's totems have a huge range at least, which makes at least one of them a decent investment I think. Cool news about KR2 I feel like the KR1 towers would just wreck poo poo in Frontiers also.
