isn't it a UEFA/FIFA rule from a few years ago that kits have to have a blank open spot on the back for names/numbers? I think truly hooped kits are probably dead in the water if that's the case.

It looks like there are hoops on the front, you can see them faintly from this side.

Apparently it's down to the club. QPR have had hooped shirts in the prem and championship in recent years. Celtic and similar always have full hoops, someone at Reading just likes white panels or something.

Don't fail to see Nyarlathotep if he comes to Providence. He is horrible — horrible beyond anything you can imagine — but wonderful. He haunts one for hours afterward. I am still shuddering at what he showed.

I think it depends on the competition, last season PSV played with stripes on the back in the Eredivisie but had an open panel when playing European games.

I've found the UEFA rules to settle it.

Article 10 has the first part of it, the annex in the end has the exact specifications. There has to be a single-color area around the player numbers, meaning a blank white space on hooped jerseys or a single-color box on other designs. Or the entire back can be one of the two "primary" colors of a hooped/striped design. Also if you go to article 8 in there there's some examples of what is and isn't allowed in terms of certain kit designs. Kind of interesting and appropriate for the kit thread.

That would only apply to UEFA competitions though, right? Champions League/Euros/etc?

Agreed; I prefer the third kit too. The away looks great on a white background but it'll be a different story on the pitch when they'll lose to Southampton and blame it on not being able to pick each other out.

I didn't post this before now because I pretty much browse the forums exclusively on my phone these days and cropping this huge image and uploading it and posting it required too much effort for me to care.

But that's our new away kit. Once again the club have ignored the fans wishes for green and yellow and gone with this but it's not that bad.

I hate how the sponsor background colour is a different colour to the actual loving shirt.

A mate of mine knocked this up:

I actually prefer it :stare:

I kind of have a mixed reaction to them. They're not bad but not really impressing me. Our away kits last year were amazing.

Yea I might be being a little harsh but I think it would be cooler if the Aguia Vitoria (victory eagle) was lower and larger instead of overlapping the adidas logo. Also I like the rumored away better. I don't know if the one I posted from a recent training session is the official away or the kit below is.

Either way, yea, they're pretty decent and a lot better than some of the schlock that has been produced thus far this year. Oh and by the way, if you haven't seen it the Aguia Vitoria from the Benfica crest is one of the cooler things about the estadio da luz. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vUAuxzjJiI&t=50s
